I am also responding due to my Grandmother (same grandma from person who posted recently) who had come to your establishment in person. I would love to preface that this place has been a place that my family and I have been coming to often because of their gluten-free options and my grandmother has never been ill from the food before. She came to the establishment and got the same kind of pizza that her person she was dining with got the person she was dining with got non-gluten-free crust and my grandmother ordered gluten-free crust however, immediately when she got home, that was the last thing she had eaten and realized that maybe they switched pizzas and she had the non-gluten-free pizza. She has celiac which is not just a gluten intolerance it is a severe allergy that has horrible consequences if ingested. My grandmother become violently ill when she got home and the pizza was last thing she ate. I went back to the restaurant to inform them of the mistake that might have been made. I just wanted to inform them because hopefully it could be avoided in the future. The person working told me that I probably shouldn’t bring someone with celiac to a place that has pizza and that flour can be found everywhere and that it was a risk to take her there. I am aware that I am risking her health by not being in an establishment of an all gluten-free kitchen however out of her 10 times she has been to your restaurant she has never had a problem. I just want to make this clear how serious this could be for a 92 year-old woman and to say that other illnesses are going around from the last post is lacking all empathy to how serious this could have become with my 92year old grandmother. She has suffered with celiac for her whole life and knows the difference between a stomach bug and when she ingests something...
Read moreI just picked up an order of 2 classic burgers and a kid's cheeseburger to go. I came in and the girl who took my order over the phone (Audrey) says that she put the cheeseburger in someone else's order, so I need to wait until they make me another one. I thought it was a good idea to check if everything else was in order - it wasn't. The side of fruit that she repeated after me on the phone turned into fries. I didn't wait long, just a few minutes, and she said that she gave me extra fries for the trouble - very nice, thanks. I come home - no extra fries, just one side with each burger. It's not that asked or expected anything extra, but why say that it's there if it's not? And my kid's burger that she wanted with nothing but cheese since she's going through a "picky eater" phase, is covered with lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. I really didn't feel like reordering, so I spent considerable time assuring my picky eater that she is not going to notice any aftertaste after removing the toppings. After which she spit out the meat saying that it tasted like pickles. I mean, I clearly asked for nothing but cheese... How difficult can it be to take an order for 3 burgers without getting one in somebody else's order, another with a wrong side and the third one with wrong toppings? And then tell me I get extra fries and not actually give it? The food itself isn't bad but the service... they are somehow very confused. Maybe tired... I might come again but you definitely want to re-check everything...
Read moreI was both cheered and then dashed by this pizza. Fantastic New York Crust. Truly a killer crust and the best crust I have had since Strapazza closed in Towson. They were the only place in Baltimore that had real New York style pizza and a fine pizza it was! But the provolone used b EW&R mixes with the mozzarella and to me at least ends up making this taste like the topping has a bit of cheddar cheese mixed it. Little too sweet. They should do that amazing crust with just straight mozzarella, lower the sugar content of the sauce, smidge more and a nuttier olive oil would have it clocked.
I love oregano, but they had completely dressed the pizza in it, just a massive wash of oregano, that for some reason read like a sprinkle of poultry season. I have never seen that much oregano decorating a pizza. So.....so close to what i have been craving to find in baltimore and yet so far.
If they did all of the above, they would have the very best pizza in Baltimore, and the surrounding metro area and it would identically approximate genuine New York pizza which is a magnificent thing. All I wanted to do was scrape off the topping and adjust it to being a traditional NY/NJ type pizza. "Traditional pizza" never uses provolone, or anything other than an impeccable mozzarella, really good quality Italian olive oil and a tart salty sauce. This could be outstanding pizza with a...
