All Starr Caribbean Café — Restaurant in Trenton

Well, one thing is a constant with Trenton and the surrounding areas, the food is mediocre at best in most businesses and the service is almost always unprofessional and rude. What makes these people think that you can serve a person who just comes in your establishment before you serve people who have been waiting in line just because you know the other customer who came in? And these people don't say thank you, you're welcome, or have any common courtesy people who depend on customers' business should have. You can't be rude when your food is burned and has little flavor. I don't know what standards people here have but most places with rave reviews have maybe OK food that costs too much and very horrible customer service. Maybe it's the water. Maybe it's just no hometraining. Maybe it's because we're used to the far better quality food and much more professional service and general courtesy from the NYC and North Jersey area, but this area is a sad embarrassment and it is reflected in almost every miserable business here. Me love AllStar Carribean Cafe which is located in the west side of Trenton. I love the way the food looks & more importantly the way it tastes! Some of my favorite dishes are oxtails, curry goat, brownstew chicken & my Friday special stewpeas & rice to name a few. I prefer callolo with platters as opposed to cabbage as my vegetable which they normally have. The prices are very reasonable as well, you have a choice of S, M, & L for the platter of your choice. Been going to all stars since a young boy and my overall experience is up and down. Within the past year I done seen the prices spike out out of control but I do not blame them because we are in "covid times". Although the customer service can be better it's been countless times I go in there and people and extremely disappointed because they called 30+ mintues in advance and food is still not done(and they are on a lunch break to retrieve the food).
