This review is long overdue!

To preface, this is a long review due to the ordeal I had but ultimately U highly recommend this place. On January 19th, I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, via Uber Eats. I ordered from my place of work in hopes of breaking a religious fast during by lunch break. I looked extensively on The Halal Brothers’ menu and I was excited to try the food. I contacted the delivery driver because my app stated he arrived at my work, which he hadn’t because I would have seen him from standing outside in the cold. I called and directed him to the address I input on the app only for the delivery driver to say he was just here. I asked for my food and to cut a long story short, the delivery driver gave my food to another Black lady who “looked like me”, which is odd because myself and the woman the security saw on camera are two completely different body compositions, heights, hair, skin tone, and I wear glasses. The delivery man only stepped a foot in and handed the food to the first person he saw instead of verifying my name or asking for a security code for delivery. The other person then took my food. I expressed my frustration and the security expressed their disbelief, and this man told me “God will bless you” and left after eventually apologizing. So I had no food and my initial lunch break was gone.

Parking is difficult at work so I was reluctant to drive to the location. However, I drove there after seeing Uber had only refunded the tip I gave the delivery driver after reporting the incident. I explained the situation to the restaurant staff and the owner looked in his records. He realized it was my first time eating there and after my ordeal he gave me my initial order on the house. It was very sweet of him because this ordeal had nothing to do with the establishment, it was solely the Uber driver’s mistake. Not only that, he threw in a drink and a dessert and that kindness after unexpected stress brought me to tears. I was even nervous to get a drink after he told me I could because I didn’t believe what I experienced was real. I had $20 in cash with me and it was in my heart to give this as a tip to them for their kindness. They were humble and didn’t accept the tip multiple times until I kept lowering the amount in hopes they would accept at least something for their generosity. In hindsight that $20 was around the amount my meal equated to.

I came back to work and realized the food smelled so good even in the car. I prayed out of my fast, then had my lunch. The food was savory, culturally accurate, and filling. It has seasoning and it’s balanced seasoning. The red velvet cake was moist and perfect with the cream cheese, which says a lot because I’m very particular about cake and try to steer away from it so as to not be disappointed. The naan was a perfect level of thickness and consistency to be smooth to eat, and is actually served warm unlike with other restaurants providing lukewarm to-go naan. It had fluff to it which is perfect, just how I like it. I chose iced tea for the drink and had water at my desk.

I discovered while talking to the staff that they are a family-owned Palestinian business. It was nice to see that I was giving back to the community directly and supporting diversity in the community. I highly recommend this place for their food and their heart, please give this small...

[Covid-19 time period] One of the best take out experiences we've had during the pandemic. Food and service were impeccable. To be honest, we hadn't ordered from them to this point because their online presence lacks, so other places seemed easier in the moment. All that said, we found a menu in the photos here on Google Maps. I like that the menu is short - it makes choosing much simpler. We called in the order and it was ready and perfect when I arrived 15 minutes later. We had a chicken platter w/white sauce and combo platter w/ white and Bbq sauce. Both were amazing! Also amazing was the hummus. We love (and occasionally make our own) hummus and this was better than we can remember ever having. We'll be back...

This is hands down our favorite halal spot! Every single time we come, the food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with care — you can truly taste the quality. Beyond the delicious meals, what makes this place special is the family who owns it. They embody everything you’d hope for in a family-owned business: genuine kindness, hospitality, and a personal touch that makes every customer feel welcome. They remember faces, treat everyone with respect, and create an environment that feels like home. It’s rare to find that level of consistency both in food and service. We’re grateful to have them in the community and will continue to support them as forever...

Was nice and clean place. Quick service. Fair amount of fries comes with the menu items that says comes with fries. At the time I visited, there was no seating, of course that was due to Covid. I am used to seeing how the food is prepared, you wouldn't be able to see this there, due to the design, kitchen was in other section of the fast food joint, but not a big deal for me. 🍔 Cheeseburger was big enough and fulfilling 🥙 Phili cheese steak was nice, but slightly off, I believe the bread they use was not the best. After all, if I am the area, I would stop by and get food from there again.

You HAVE to try this place, best halal food in Trenton BY FAR! Their white sauce is the perfect balance for all their dishes, and everything is always prepared fresh and hot each time I come. It’s a Palestinian owned family restaurant which makes me so happy to support. I come here at least twice a week and each time my chicken and rice is amazing! Has and will always be my go to spot!
