Pat's Diner — Restaurant in Trenton

I grew up in Chambersburg section here in Trenton nj, Been to most of the Legendary and Best restaurants and mom n pop little Delis in South Trenton, Tatoni's , Cesars , Angelo Tamara's, Porfirio s, Amicis, La Gandola, Creccos, Blue Danube, Pete's, Delo's, Papa's and now Im adding on Pat's Diner South Broad Street 👌 New owner has the Place so Friggin clean! Noticebly Different!! Same old Pat's dont get it mixed up. I couldn't see a spec of dust in the place, counters sparkling, glass shining, floors you can eat off of, super clean kitchen from where my girl and I were sitting.Most Important, the food was "Mind Blowingly Fresh, homemade to order, pot roast special complete w/ soup to salad 2 vegetables and desert included and The BestCorn beef Reuben Ive ever eaten in My Life !!!! Seriously, UnFriggin Believable. I got up from my table to introduce myself to the female owner and she was super nice soft spoken n seemed very humble. The thing I took notice to was her attention in overseeing the running of the Diner. There seemed to be a general level of respect between the staff and owner which is rather rare to witness and feel when youre in a business today. We didn't feel rushed at all to get the table " Turned Over" and thoroughly appreciated that. Im taking the time to explain this experience to those of you that are blessed to have taken your time to read it because I think its so very very crucial to our existence to know that there are people and places Still in Existence Today that show up and are of service to other still doing it with Dignity Respect and Honor. Hello all! I want to tell you I just dined here for the first time and here is my experience. Was greeted and seated immediately before I could even register the overall cool 50's styled brick pizza oven look (granted I personally like this throwback style and it was if not recently renovated, up kept very well), was approached by our server within a minute if not thirty seconds by a very kind and attentive server named Alyssa, when asked if I could substitute she was going to ask in which case I asked for the meal and a side in which she even made sure to tell me it would be a charge for the sub. On the side. Now, the food? The corned beef hash I got as a side was decent, but corned beef hash is corned beef hash, but my eggs Benedict were toasted to the point where it remained firm with Canadian bacon that was done so it was hot but not seared, and the eggs were perfect consistently. My father who also joined got the eggs salad bacon triple decker and every component was to par. Personally, I would go again, without a doubt, and keep it as a local Hamilton favorite...

Going here for breakfast was the worst experience ever. I will never go here again. The waitress was wonderful but the food was spoiled I got sick from the food I did eat and the steak I had to send back because it tasted rotten and it was spoiled badly. At that it didn't even look like steak in the first place. When I did tell them the food was spoiled they asked if I wanted any other meat and they still made me pay for the eggs and homefries and coffee that I finished and I got extremely sick from even eating and drinking that. Me and my child got so sick to the extreme. This place needs to be handled by the health department immediately before the next person to get sick might not be so lucky. And going through reviews I see I'm not the only person who went through this same experience. I just wish I went through the reviews before I took a chance...
