STAY AWAY
I ordered food off the restaurants website. They advertise lower prices, delivery fees, and you're supporting their restaurant. There were so many issues. The prices, fees, everything was cheaper on Doordash. The restaurant actually contracts with Doordash to send out the food. If you order through the restaurants site you get confirmation through Doordash. I ordered thai iced tea, noodles, and a side of potstickers. Somehow-- the app put me in as two orders of potstickers. The delivery wasn't even picked up until after it was supposed to be delivered. The restaurant called me to tell me they couldn't entirely fill my order. I told the issues to the waitress and asked for a refund on what wasn't delivered and a price adjustment for what I was charged for but didn't order. She stated "I am a waitress what should I do". I told her and she declined. I asked to speak with management to which she said "I don't know when they'll be in or if they will callback. I never heard back. I then called back multiple times asking to speak with a manager. Each time I asked to speak with management they hung up. I spoke with Doordash who said everything needed to go through the restaurant trying to get the issue resolved. My food was cold and the noodles were still hard. Such a terrible experience all around!
Update: The manager told me that I needed to go through the company's website that his restaurant uses. I told him I tried contacting them and they told me it needed to go through his restaurant. My bank also stated the charges on the statement are through Chiang Rai and anything needed to go through him. He told me that if he was there, he would have refunded me. He then continued to say he wasn't there so he couldn't do anything and informed me he had been traveling. He told me his waitresses cannot refund anything even though they are the ones who called me to tell me the order couldn't be fulfilled, and he said this is the way he runs his business and is the protocols and policy of the restaurant. He told me the noodles were cooked but crunchy probably because they sat for so long, but he didn't know and was going to contact a third-party company as he claims his restaurant is the third party. Yet when I contacted every company involved, they said it ultimately came down to the restaurant. The manager of Chiang Rai told me the restaurant is the third party company which is why he told me he couldn't do anything. I told him the bank statement says otherwise and it all comes from Chiang Rai. He said none of this happened on purpose but wasn't willing to resolve the issue or even offer any apology for what had happened. He also defended his waitresses for hanging up on me when asking to speak to a manager and said "they didn't understand" or that "they were busy".
Update two: The manager called the company the website uses and had them reach out to me. They were very kind and confirmed that the refund does indeed NEED to come from Chiang Rai and Chiang Rai is NOT the third party company. He is going to reiterate that to the restaurant and inform them that it needs to come from...
Read moreAs soon as you enter the restaurant you will be greeted by an unfriendly server/cashier behind the counter. The lousy jazz music doesn't cut the deal of a dining experience [the playlist is bad, i love jazz music though] maybe they should switch to thai music, the ambiance is too bright with that huge glass windows, put curtain or something to block too much light at least (maybe open it during sunset). The food is so-so. The fact that there is unfriendy staff does not average my rating. The taste of the food is forgettable. I ordered 6 dish on the menu bybthe way. I have been to Thailand and Hawaii and other mainland US thai restaurants and it is not close to those memorable food I had. With my rating, it is just pass by it restaurant. There maybe better places somewhere else. The price is within average. One of those foreign speaking restaurants that I can feel they are talking against their customers behind their back using the language. My being as an Asian and who used to work in customer experience industry the very unfriendly thai cashier [if you are the manager and you are reading this, I hope this serve you a good constructive criticism. Good food starts with a good service.and that lady that rolls her eye when speaking to customer is just bad. I also said thank you many times and i did not get a simple "welcome" response. THE WAY THE OWNER RESPONDS TO FEEDBACKS [see other comments from previous reviews] REFLECTS ON WHAT KIND OF SERVICE YOU WILL GET FOR YOUR FUTURE DINING. PANDEMIC IS NOT AN EXCUSE. I HAVE BEEN TO OR ORDERED FROM A RESTAURANT WITH CONSISTENT GOOD SERVICE DESPITE...
Read moreI have eaten here for over 8 years and have given this restaurant a lot of business. Unfortunately when ordering multiple dishes with different spice levels, they have came wrong the last 3 times all in separate occasions. I let them go unmentioned because it is rude to complain (in my opinion) so the 3rd time I asked if I could please have the meal remade properly. I did not want a refund and even offered to bring the meal back untouched (wich I did) and they took it into the back, remade the same 5hr old dish in a pan and served me the same dish. The total was $30. This is not right :( and we knew they were going to do this when we strictly asked for it to be remade the correct way.
UPDATE: After calling them and asking the lady “are you sure that you reheated the same meal and added to it” and she gladly said “yes, did you think it was a new meal?” I let her know that what she had done is breaking 3 food violations and that I was recording her saying that for the health department report….she acted like the phone was not connecting. Then she came back on to say “ no the meal was brand new” after I recorded her saying it was the 5 hour old meal. Very dirty...
