Troutman Cafe — Restaurant in Troutman

Out of the gate, the setup of the restaurant made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the chicken bake but they said they were out of it. I ended up with the pork tenderloin and several sides. The food was room temperature, nothing special at all. The pork was dry and flavorless. The other people in our party waited over 20 minutes after I got my food to get theirs. The cashier asked how things were, I told him they didn’t have what I ordered so the ticket was wrong. He ripped the ticket in half in front of my face and said “have a good evening.” I was appalled and left the restaurant embarrassed for myself and the cashier. Needless to say, I won’t be back. They could offer me all the free food in the world and I wouldn’t step foot on...

Our first time at Pat's Place Too. Glad we stopped in. Quiet, quaint, and great place for a meal. Sheila was our server. She was very friendly, courteous, and attentive. Had a sample of Livermush. Similar to scrapple. Decided to have the bacon and eggs with home fries. Some of the best home fries I've ever had other than what I make at home. Wife had the gravy and biscuits and was very satisfied. Coffee was great and Sheila never let the cup get empty. This is our 3rd spot we've tried in the Mooresville , Troutman , Statesville area. Wow.. in a bad way. No atmosphere, relatively high prices, and the food was low quality. I had stew with veggies. Stew was just stew meat in juice. No onions, potatoes, carrots, or anything added. Potatoes were instant mashed. They threw some of the stew juice in top. Roll was a nasty cold roll. Wife has BLT. Basically toast with low quality bacon and mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Not grilled. Cheap bread. Not interesting. This was an amateur restaurant. I thought since it was a second location it would be better. Walls and ceilings unpainted and dirty.
