McDonald's — Restaurant in Troy

I walked into the crowded McDonald's, which is inside of a Love's travel stop. I paid at the kiosk to avoid stupidity (sadly, a failed attempt). Only one of the four kiosks was functional. I ordered two burgers; and a large mocha frappe, light on the whipped cream, and I added a light drizzle of caramel drizzle to compliment the chocolate drizzle. After what felt like a absurdly long wait, they called my order number; only my order wasn't ready. They hadn't even started my drink. Turns out that was a good thing. While waiting for my drink, one of the children behind the counter came over, gazed mindlessly into my bag for a while, then took it to the prep station and swapped the contents with those of some other poor soul's order. She set the bag back down and called my number again, as though I weren't standing there the entire time, watching the incompetent circus act. Then I finally got my drink. That was the last straw that propelled me into a review writing frenzy! As I mentioned above, I ordered caramel drizzle through the customization menu on the kiosk. I always do it through the kiosk, so the ingredients that I pay extra for are on a screen, written in easy to read crayon... but there was my frappe, with the light caramel drizzle I had ordered......and absolutely zero chocolate drizzle!!! If I pay for jalapeños on my burger, you don't get to omit my pickles. If I order a drink that comes with chocolate drizzle and I pay for caramel drizzle, I want both drizzles drizzled on my shizzles, for rizzle. And y'all want...

We were on a road trip and wanted to grab a "quick something" and hit the road after gassing up at the Love's it is connected to. This McDonald's was not quick at all.

Our order of the nuggets bundle meal and 1 quarter pounder took 20+ minutes in the drive thru from the time they took our order.

5 minutes waiting in line to place our order (this is not included in the 20+ minutes). 10 minutes after placing our order we finally made it thru the pay window and we were at the pick up window.., where we were asked to pull forward; they were waiting on our nuggets (we placed our order over 10 minutes ago, how long do fast food nuggets take, but ok we pull forward). 10+ minutes of waiting for our nuggets and my husband goes in to check on our order. They are bagging it up finally...

The fries must have been staged for bagging and waiting on the nuggets too, because they weren't fresh and hot like the nuggets were :(

On the brighter side, the spicy nuggets hit the spot. We had never tried them before and we were pleasantly surprised.

This was around noon...

If you are against being forced to get a vaccine versus having your own choice in the workplace? Don't work at any McDonald's these people are now making it mandatory they gave four days notice for employees you either have to go get this shot or you lose your job there is so much wrong with this the only other option is to get a covid test every week to prove that you are negative which is ridiculous we all know nobody that works a minimum wage job is going to have the time where the money to constantly be driving around every week and getting this proof... Not to mention walking into a place that will likely have people that are covid positive and are there to get tested for personal and Job reasons alike. So your option is to get a vaccine that's ineffective and could make you sick or you can go take the risk of actually getting infected with covid by being around people that have it in order to prove that you don't have it... Makes perfect sense. Will never purchase another McDonald's product in my lifetime again I will starve...
