With all of the positive reviews giving it a 4.3 stars, it seemed like a perfect pit stop for breakfast. We were told to sit in the back and the friendly waitress took our drink order. A round of flat sodas soon arrived. After ordering off filthy menus we noticed how dirty the table, floor, ceiling and windows were. Not sure if it was dead bugs or mold on the blinds. My son started playing drums with the very crisp bacon, I was hunting for fruit in my strawberry pancakes and the sausage and gravy had zero flavor. We ate at Sherry’s Family Restaurant in Star,NC. It was obvious this is a favorite eating place in the community. Our visit was made very special by Cindy, our waitress. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and like a member of the community. She was very friendly and efficient. Our food was delicious. I ordered a vegetable omelette and my two friends ordered hamburgers. They ordered the Big D and it was big!!! Lol Our food came out in a timely manner,was hot, and made to our specifications! UPDATE: Pretty sure my daughter got food poisoning from this place and all our stomachs have been a little off for the past few days since eating here

Honestly not sure how this place has such great reviews. The only good thing about it was our friendly waitress. Food was kind of gross and mostly cooked in a microwave. The omelettes was basically veggies with American cheese squares melted on them. Bathrooms were also very gross and had no ventilation other than a tiny window making it tough to breathe.
