Been here several times with the family only once or twice have we had a questionable experience. Last night we called in an order for pickup, very simple order, 3 pizzas, all thin crust. The girl who answered the phone was rude, seemed very confused, as the order had to be repeated several times. She said approximately 30 minutes wait. We go to pickup and as we said our name for the order, the girl at the counter looked puzzled and asked the employees at the oven if the order went through. One employee sarcastically asked "Are you sure you called here?" .. We order from here often, so we didnt make a mistake.

They apologized and made the 3 pizzas, "only takes 6 minutes!" .. the pizzas were done 10 minutes later and we were out the door. We got home to find 2 of the 3 pizzas overcooked with burnt crusts, and the hot oil pizza had way too much hot oil on it. Not a pleasant experience this time around.

We were dumbfounded as to why this place has bad reviews, last night told us a great story of why. We usually order from there at least once a week. We'll most likely be ordering elsewhere...

I was one of the first people to get regular every day and take out and from this restaurant when it opened. I built a relationship with them and since then they have been getting nothing but better lately their food has been so exquisitely incredibly good I must say it’s come so far from the beginning I shouldn’t say that because in the beginning it was excellent but it is so much better now that I’m almost dumbfounded! The last time I ate a REAL Italian meal this AMAZING was in New York City!! The closest I can compare this place to which is a big difference and a huge comparison but I’m gonna be honest and I’ve been there and I doubt 85% of the people that read this review even know of the place but RAO’s !!! - and if you know what I’m talking about then you know what that is and what I’m comparing Trumbull Pizza Co. companies food too!!!!! That’s how good it is. Period!!!! Absolutely the BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN THIS VICINITY!!❤️TRUMBULL PIZZA CO YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST BAR NONE !!!! 2025 Update -Long story short they’ve...

DO NOT HAND YOUR CREDIT CARD TO CASHIER!

If you are paying with a physical card do not hand it to cashier, or let them take it from you. I held my card above the chip reader on the counter and asked if it was ready for me to tap and the cashier said no and before I knew what was happening he took the card from me and swiped it in the swiper on the register without asking my permission. I asked if the chip reader was not working and he said "it works, it's just easier to do this".

Employees who use the registers need to be trained that swiping is only to be used as a last resort if the tap/chip reader doesn't work after at least 3 attempts. Swiping is the most insecure way of using a card and when the store has tap/chip enabled readers, if the card is swiped and then fraud occurs on that card the merchant is automatically at fault for not using the more secure methods.

Other than that issue, the...

Was actually excited to try this place as we just moved to town. This is what I got!! The photo shows the underside of the pie. I couldn’t take individual pieces without everything breaking apart. I think this is the worst I’ve ever had. To make matters worse I called to let them know and whoever I spoke to was a complete a-hole. In fairness they offered to make new ones and deliver. But honestly after waiting an hour for the initial order and getting the uncooked pie my appetite was gone. I was stuck with $50 + bill and didn’t end up eating. I think everybody knows what happens when you complain about food and they offer to replace it. I wasn’t willing to risk my well being to test it. Moral of the story don’t order from here or use the app toast because all they could do was call the store. What a waste of money. I would give it zero stars if I could!!

visit: jan 14, 2024, sunday the food is/was awesome!! (had left overs to take home, heated the sandwhich today and it's freaking awesome!) our server was the sweetest and all the cooks were courteous and seemed to be enjoying their time at work. everything is made to order and you can taste the difference if you happen to be from ontario, canada.. $77.. we had a half cheese pizza, half meatlovers.. the soup was very good, and is filling on its own -it had some pasta, beans.. forgot what it was called. anyway, whatever you see (photos) just order them too! for those who have high blood pressure, the garlic knots will help you, i promise! they dont skimp on the garlic! ps: pasta fagioli soup!!!

The Definition of “Fine”. If you are operating on a tight schedule, this place is gold. The service is fast and efficient, and the prices are decent. They excel at quickly delivering a hot meal, which is why we stopped here. The problem, unfortunately, lies with the pizza itself. Our order: extra cheese, sausage, and basil, it was visually appealing but ultimately flavorless. It had that "no real taste" quality that suggests an opportunity missed on seasoning or sauce depth. It’s edible, certainly, but it’s the kind of pizza you eat because it’s there and fast, not because it’s memorable.
