Okay are you Angus burger lovers... I've been looking for a good charcoal grilled Burger that doesn't break the bank. Anyone that goes to Provincetown will pass by this local favorite. This place is always busy and there's a reason why! There is something for everyone as savory and the sweet escape.
I was looking for a char-broiled burger and when you take a look at that wood fired oven with the flames glowing and you watch Diane tending to the fire you will no doubt be more then satisfied with the burger that comes off of their grill.
Diane, the owner is in the back but has her finger on the pulse of everything going on there but is it so busy to cook a burger to perfection! Diane is committed to buying high quality ingredients and I can attest to the fact that the Angus beef used for the char-broiled burgers is top quality. You will not be disappointed!
She will cook it to perfection on a brioche or ciabatta roll my favorite is brioche and you can have it with all sorts of toppings mine was with the delicious and perfectly prepared caramelized onions and bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly a little crispy and not burnt.
The staff was very busy but friendly and professional. Everywhere in the restaurant is clean and an inviting atmosphere. There are plenty of tables in front as well as in the somewhat enclosed patio. The greenery in the flower boxes around the edges which makes a nice atmosphere and gives you the feeling you're in the middle of a big herb garden.
They offer quite a selection of sandwiches as well as next door and attached is an ice cream shop with all kinds of ice cream that may be hard to resist.
I look forward to going back to trying other things on their menu and I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you try one of...

The Sweet Escape did not meet my expectations for ice cream. We tried it even though no one had recommended it to us.
Even though we were the only guests, the girl served the wrong flavor. I am an adult. I can look past that.
But what I can't look past is spending $23 for two cones of very mediocre ice cream.
Their ice cream base has a lower fat content, meaning more water and ice and less flavor.
The freezer is not kept very cold. I am not exaggerating when I say: my ice cream was melting from the cone within 60 seconds of making it to the car.
It dripped from the top, sides and bottom of the world's most expensive ($3.75) and most disappointing waffle cone I have ever tried. At a minimum, I would hope there isn't a hole at the bottom of the cone. The waffle itself was too thick, unpleasant to chew and not fresh.
I think the combination of over priced and poor quality is enough for me to say: I won't be back.
That said, the pizza shop next door seemed welcoming and kid friendly. Maybe if Red Barn is closed?
Ice cream lovers: please consider driving elsewhere. I enjoy Emack and Bolio's has locations in Wellfleet + Orleans; Smitty's in Orleans + Falmouth; and Sundae School in...
Read moreMy visit was horrible, I didn't even get a chance to order anything. I got into line and waited my turn to order ice cream. when it was my turn the woman began counting cash and didn't acknowledge that I was there, it made me feel very awkward, she finally said "what would you like" without looking up. I politely asked about the ice cream counter at which point she said "I don't know I'll ask if anyone can" and then asked a cook who was clearly busy if he could scoop ice cream, he obviously responded that he was busy. She then said that she was too busy to help me and that she couuuldd get through the line behind me and then maybe she could scoop ice cream. Basically I waited in line, and when it was my turn I was told that they were too busy and needed to help the people behind me first...... maybe ice cream is less of a priority order than a mocha latte and a cupcake? maybe they just don' t like gays. Whatever it was I felt totally discriminated against, which is not a common feeling for me. not only did I not get any ice cream but I was also treated "lesser than" and left Savorys feeling pretty horrible. I just can't think of any other reasons you would deny someone service after they waited in line like...
