The place has a sign out front that says Nacho Mamma's but apparently not what this place is called? Not sure why but my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot. Super small place, only had two servers which is fine but it was a very long wait. When ordering drinks, I inquired as to what kind of root beer it was that they had (just said root beer, no specific name) since I'm allergic to caffeine and some root beers have it and didn't want to get sick and our waitress responded with 'I don't know, we have Pepsi products ' (which means Mug btw) but didn't even offer to go check so I ended up with a Sierra Mist. Ordered queso dip, came out as barely warmed and was clearly Velveeta and we ended up waiting super long for that as well. We dumped the rest of our salsa in to see if it'd help with the horrible taste and consistency, it kind of did but it was still bad. Definitely not worth the 6 bucks they charged us for it. Chips were also kind of stale. We should've just paid then and gone but we didn't. I ended up ordering the combo chicken enchilada and chicken tamale, my bf ordered the two enchilada plate and both came with beans and rice. The sauce was pretty good for the most part, but more on the spicier side which is how we both like it anyway but the rest was fairly bland. Ended up leaving a good amount of beans and rice on my plate as I was already starting to feel an uncomfortable tummy rumbling and it'd been only about 10 mins since I'd eaten my food. Also, pretty small portions for charging 13 bucks a plate. We waited to pay another 10 -15 mins after she gave us the bill even when another server came to our table and refused to go run the card. After we left, about 5 mins we immediately head to Wal-Mart to go to the bathroom. Needless to say, we were both sick for a very long time and had extremely bad stomach cramps for the rest of the evening, almost to the point of calling out for work. Don't waste your money here, there are better restaurants in the vicinity that are better priced and have way better food thday won't...
Read moreSo I don't normally say anything unless really awful or great, but this instance requires review. We tried this place for the 1st time. We are scouting for a large catering project for our church. The tacos were enjoyable. The vegetarian burrito was not. I've never had a Mexican place put spring greens and whole shaved raw carrot slices in a burrito. It felt inauthentic, was not enjoyable. The item as regularly ordered, did not include regular things like guac, sour cream, cheese, tomato, onion(its 15$ with just beans rice and vegetables consisting of peppers only per the waiter). So I requested,at cost these be added. They messed up the whole order. I called as we had driven from Tigard to Wilsonville, and were not returning to have it corrected. I did not open the burrito at the restaurant and I should have checked, although to be fair I thought it unnecessary as the waiter seemed very competent and understanding . The reason I am leaving a review, is because I called they said they would fix it and return the over 15$ I had paid for the one item fix,as I was not requesting refund of the entire order as it was not all inaccurate. They did not do as stated. Please operate with more dignity. If you royaly mess something up and ,own you did so,do not make broken promises of fixing, then charging me the full amount including the 20% tip. We will not recommend this place to our church and...
Read moreWe decided to get dinner at Casa Colima again only to find out they doubled their prices. I got a burrito and it was the size of a kids burrito that a regular Mexican restaurant would give you. It was like a 7 inch tortilla and two small sides of rice because I opted out on the beans and it was $17. My husband got a molcajete for almost $40. Yeah we aren’t coming back ever again.. the taste of the food was eh. Average. Nothing special either. My so called “burrito” was cold. Yeah never coming back again. I wouldn’t suggest this place. If you want good portions go to La Sierra in Newberg. I can’t reply to the owners response so I’ll reply here. He says “send me a receipt” but there is no way for me to respond to that comment or send a receipt. Yeah I said molcajete was close to $40 is it not? I’m glad your little #13 combo is $13 but that isn’t what I got. Maybe before assuming I got that small combo you can ask what exactly I got? I got a BIRRIA burrito that appeared to be in an 10 inch flour tortilla which compared to La Sierra gives you a 12 inch fully stuffed burrito and the burrito itself here at Colima wasn’t even hot anymore and 2 little bowls of rice that probably didn’t even equate to a full cup. It’s wonderful how you took the time to dig into my reviews I feel flattered 😊 never ever coming again. Everyone go to La Sierra in Newberg. Good to know the “owner” here...
