SO VERY DISAPPOINTED It was about a year ago I tried the food here it was so good, the service was awesome but then again there's two sides of this restaurants you have the side where you could sit there no bar has a waitress working the floor the other side. Which has a bar n bartenders working the floor you have tables but you have to wait for the bartender to order you food and drinks.. I was amazed with the proportions of the food it was very enjoyable for what you're paying.. HOWEVER* the number of times that I have been there in the last year the service in General on the bar side has really really went down meaning if the bartender's friends aren't around or somebody they don't know you might get waited on however if there's somebody there that she has to gossip the service is unacceptable.. tonight in general or problem was the of course the service and food I ordered a fish platter which is new to their menu I got excited my husband orded a burger the fish along with the salad came out maybe 15 minutes before his Burger I asked her to put it underneath a heat lamp i wanted to wait for his food when it all came out there was nothing wrong with his Burger the fries where fresh. Now let me remind you that my food has now been sitting under the heat lamp because it came out too early I got my fish and was smothered and oil like they try to reheat it a little bit through back in the fryer and in the middle it was completely cold I let the waitress know which seems like it was a big problem that I was not satisfied with the fact that it came out too early and now it is cold I then decided to change my order because it just didn't sound pleasing anymore I ordered a chicken basket which took an additional 20min I had to go up and ask for refills because she took the food and didn't come back to check and see if my husband's mail was okay which by the way he's waiting to eat with me and now his Burger is completely cold we end up taking everything to go because it was just to the point where was irritating. When reviewing our bill I realized there was no discount no kind of recognition on the whole situation in general not saying that something free would have made it better but it would have showed that the mistake had been acknowledged and maybe worked on but I was trying to get the young lady's attention to give her the bill and she stayed on the side talking so we left the bill on the table.. THINK ABOUT IT now if my input matters to the restaurant itself I would highly suggest maybe getting a waitress to work the bar end of the restaurant just due to the fact that more than two occasions have I been sitting on the bar side of the restaurant at the service is very very unacceptable especially when we're choosing your place to spend our money at. If we walk-in and it's busy I understand but when you walk in and it's not as busy and you have the bartender just standing talking to what seemed to be her friends and this is happened on more than just one occasion the service sucks. I felt like our presence isn't it important as whatever there is to gossip in that little corner that all of the bartender seem to get stuck on if you have a problem the attitude that you get by addressing the problem is very very unacceptable and then once you present the problem the service gets even worse so maybe this is something that they can take care of In-House however for anybody who was going there make sure you sit on the restaurant side your service will be better there and you will actually get what you're paying for which is awesome food most time and hopefully this matter can...
Read moreThe establishment should be called Amigos beer because the bar takes precedence over the patrons in the restaurant. A meal ticket entered into a kitchen should on average take maximum 20 minutes. That was not the case here. Boneless wings and Jalapeño poppers was the order. Honey pepper and Teriyaki being the sauce. There is no indication on the menu as to the what level of hot. There was no taste of honey. Only Cayennes and Paprika with some type of burnt glaze. The Teriyaki tasted like burnt soy sauce and salt. It took 42 minutes from when the order was placed to get the last item. There was only one other table. Their order was placed and their food brought up complete after our order was placed. I understand how labor cost is a concern for business owners but being understaffed on the front and back of the house to save cost is a detriment to business. Our server did remove the item off the bill that took the longest and nobody was rude. It was quite apparent that the sales from the bar were more important. Hiring one more cook and one more server would resolve the concern. Which is too late for us as we will describe to everyone we know the experience and not recommend them to...
Read moreWe all have a place that we will drive out of our way to go to if we have a particular craving... well, when I want a burger in Tucson... Amigos, here. I. come. First off, I will start off by saying this is some of the best bar food in Tucson. For those of you that are faint of heart and can't handle a true dive bar. Please, do yourself a favor and stop reading now. Although I don't work far from Amigos, I have found myself driving from one side of the city to the other to grab one of their burgers and/or wings. That within itself speaks volumes. Recently, I had their bacon cheese burger, and it was KILLER! Cooked medium, bun was on point, lettuce, jalapenos, onion, tomato... and I didn't even have to put condiments on it... IMAGINE THAT! That's how you know you are dealing with a juicy burger! You know what I like about Amigos, not too many people know about it. The place is super authentic and true about the way they want to run their business - simple concept and...
