Took the family here last night for dinner. We all had different entrees (chicken shawarma wrap, kofta plate, steak shawarma wrap, chicken tenders and fries for the little one, and an order of falafel). While we were looking over the menu, the owner let us know they had chicken tenders and gave a piece to the little one to see if he would like it, which he did. Actually, we all like the tenders! I was going to order the kofta wrap, but the owner said the kofta was better as an entree. I am so glad I listened. The dish was so flavorful and plentiful! My wife had the chicken shawarma wrap. She loved the fresh tomatoes, pickles, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My oldest had the steak shawarma wrap. He must of liked it because he ate it all! Finally, we ordered some falafel’s. The best I have ever had. They were flavorful and the texture was light and fluffy.
Not only was the food outstanding, the owners we amazing! They were so personable and I appreciate the guidance given when deciding what to eat. Also, it was nice that the owner let us know that there were options for the little one and made sure his meal was done first.
If you want great food and great service this is the place for you. Luckily they are close to where we live so we will definitely be...
Read moreBest hidden gem voted number #1 best homemade Mediterranean in Tucson by "Where to eat in Tucson"!! Don't let a food truck fool you that means made to order fresh by the owner Hiba who is a talented Chef!!! Coming from Suburbs of Detroit I grew up with this kind of food and have not found anything this authentic and good since moving here. I tried the stuffed grape leaves, Chicken Swarma, falafel, and even got the New York style fry bread to take. Grape leaves were cooked perfectly and stuffing so Delicious. Best Authentic Chicken Swarma I've had since Detroit I think this was better!! The falafel was huge and amazing it came with three HOMEMADE sauces garlic, tahini, and red tahini so good!!!. Again best I've ever had!! Huge portions as well but I had to sample the fry bread while hot so buttery with powdered sugar excellent! This is my new favorite place so happy happened to find it on Google maps. Prices were very reasonable as well with big portions. Support local business owners! Hiba was so kind and talented she deserves for you to give them a try promise you will be...
Read moreI wanted to love this place. I ordered two separate meat plates for two different households. It was windy and loud. I even used my hands to indicate 2 different plates. She repeated the meats I said. After I paid and checked, there was a wrong meat but everything put in just one container. She made again, but made me pay again for the correct order. So, I ended up paying for four plates when I just wanted two. I had just had a long day in a doggie ER and hadn't eaten since the day before, so I gave up trying to argue about it. The pitas were thin and got stiff by the time I got home, two blocks away. After paying over $40 for the two plates I wanted, I would hope the pitas would at least be warm and soft. Other than that, the food was great. I wasn't sure if the tzitski sauce was off, so I didn't try it. I have passed by often and wanted to try again, but that experience really burned my wallet, so I haven't. I can understand getting it wrong. But she should have taken back the incorrect order and not...
