If you like the stuffed roll concept of “everything but the kitchen sink” you’ll love this truck. Great service and fast.

I’m not a vegan sushi fan but the fried sweet potato roll dipped in soy sauce is perfectly balanced.

The other rolls I tried - spicy tuna and Abigail were not balanced and there was too much sweet in the rice and probably the sauces. Unfortunately I couldn’t correct the tuna (I think the tuna had a sauce on it?) and rice sweetness with soy sauce…. The more I ate the sweeter the bite, and halfway through I found the rolls just became inedible. Long story short: Food was EXCELLENT! I will be back to try all the other sushi rolls :) Short story long: I tried Samurai Sombrero for the first time and had a wonderful experience :) The booth was very busy but the crew here handled the rush incredibly well. My partner and I ordered a chile relleno, the Spicy Cali, La Frida, and the Popcorn Lobster all of which I would/will be ordering again. Once placing our order, it took about 20 minutes for us to receive our food. Lots of good reviews about this shop- I musta hit on a bad night. Had mine delivered via door dash. Dumplings and noodles are good, but the rolls were terrible- rice was overcooked, to about the texture of pudding. Rolls were warm, like they had been rolled hot- never seen that happen before. Wasn't cheap, either- I can get better sushi from Fry's for less. Sounds like I'm bein picky, but if there's one thing you expect a sushi restaurant to do right, it's rice.
