Bemo’s - the Big Red Food Truck. The gentleman taking orders outside the truck was nice. I asked if the brisket was good; he said, we wouldn’t have it on the menu if it wasn’t good. So, I ordered a sandwich with slaw. It was ready in about 15+ minutes. I found a place to sit and tucked in. First the Cole slaw had absolutely NO seasoning - not sweet, not spice, not even salt and pepper. Edible, but not flavorful. The brisket was tough, dry, stringy and not seasoned at all - except for barbecue sauce. I had to cut it to eat it and pulled it apart with my teeth. Another patron ordered it; she took a bite and quickly returned to the truck to ask for a replacement. I had pretty much picked through mine, but you could see there were lots of pieces of meat, and most of the bun, left in the container. I took mine back and he took it without question; said they had had a bad batch. So about 10 minutes later he gave me another plate. I tried a small bite and it seemed better, but since I had already eaten a bit, I brought it home with me. Decided a few hours later to try this one; tough, dry, stringy and no seasoning. I had to throw it away. The price was fair, $12, which is the only reason I gave two stars and not just one. I appreciate the effort and courtesy of a new plate, but I will never order it again. One friend had the fried chicken sandwich and said it was good. Two friends had pulled pork and they said it was not remarkable, fairly good, but again, had no seasoning or spice except a little barbecue...
Read moreFood truck owners were super rude. The "indian" taco lady belittled and embarrassed my wife when she asked for a "navajo" taco and the lady yelled at my wife that its not a navajo taco its an "indian" taco and was just rude and nasty. My wife apologized for misunderstanding and the lady just huffed at her in disgust. So she walked away.
It was almost 12. The 420 truck wast ready yet and I asked the guy how long, he said "maybe twenty minutes" rather rudely, so I asked for a menu, and he huffed and puffed and said "it'll be on the truck when he's ready."
Well damn. I'll never rat at another food truck there again. The little shacks owner was really nice. We had a good talk about Murphy stout beer he just got and wanted to know how it was. He was great. Sorry for the other truck owners who have the place ruined...

There is Hermanos and a Mediterranean truck, and a real good BBQ truck named Bemos, a Jamaican truck and there's Cup a gogo, where you can get your coffee fix. Those are the main trucks there all week, hours vary. The owners, Chris and Amber also get various musicians to come and play. There's also beer and wine to purchase inside, go grab ya a beer and eat some good food! Again, they're on the corner lot at 22nd and Pantano, there's lots of parking and tables...
