Jerry Bob's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Tucson

Food was good, however our service was horrible. When we first got there we were told that the wait was 10 minutes. There were several open tables that could have seated us at that time. We waited approximately 20 minutes before being sat at one of the tables that had been open the entire time. After sitting at the table for about 15 minutes my husband flagged down a waitress, only to be told sorry this is not my table. Our waitress was soon over to our table to take our drink order 1 coffee and 1 ice tea. It took her 7 minutes (I know this because I received a text as she left to get our drinks). Upon arriving with our drink she spilt that ice tea all over the woman sitting next to us. She never apologized to that woman. Approximately 10 minutes later I got my iced tea. Our waitress then walked away without taking a food order to talk to her friends at a booth behind us. After several minutes she came to take our food order. It only took 35 minutes to get our food once we place the order. If "0" star was an option for food and service, that's what would have been given.

Went there for lunch today, and was absolutely appalled by the lack of service. Our server, Judy, definitely does not belong in the service industry. The only thing that was correct was I received the fried okra and my friend got the French fries--that's on the cook. Did not plate correctly.

Did not refill coffee unless requested, did not check table status after being served. Either she has not been properly trained or does not care if the diners were enjoying their meals.

I watched another server while she cleaned a table, but did not remove the condiments from the table top to clean properly. Amusing, because there is a sign in the window to the effect "we clean because we care".

Last time going there.

I worked in the food industry for several years and do know what I'm talking about.

Extremely friendly staff, 90% of the time I've had fresh coffee, and my food has always personally been satisfying.

My partner had some hard bits in his omelet he couldn't bite through though, and on occasion I could tell my coffee had been sitting in the pot for a hot minute.

The silverware was a little too flimsy this time where my fork bent trying to stab my breakfast burrito, which was thankfully super delicious and paired with some refried beans that hit the spot! The knife provided, however, either wasn't sharp enough or the tortilla was too stiff, because I was mainly tearing vs cutting, but again into a really yummy burro.

Not a high end restaurant, but definitely a cozy diner with really great waitresses/waiters that I'll find myself going back to sometime...
