Very disappointing after reading the good reviews. The atmosphere was not attractive, and it was not particularly clean. The glass entry doors were so dirty you could barely see in or out of them. We ordered the chicken and cashew dinner which had very few cashews and not a great deal of chicken. I rarely use soy sauce but it was pretty bland, so I used a little soy sauce on the dish. We ordered the family dinner, which was supposed to come with soup, a wonton, egg roll and fried rice. Instead of getting soup for two people we got one small bowl of soup. We paid extra for an additional bowl of soup, because the server insisted the family dinner came with only one serving of soup. The soup was very bland, so that was a waste of money. My soup had a piece of broccoli, which had a grayish tinge on one portion of it. Dumb I now know, but I cut that off and tried to eat it. It tasted horrible, so I spit it out. I told the server, and she said 'sorry'. We also got one wonton, one eggroll, and one small bowl of rice. We had to request more rice. This place has nothing to recommend it. Don't...

Let me start with, Mei Hon used to be very good place to pick up Chinese, until Covid hit. For some reason, Covid hitting has just given businesses the right to: 1-Raise the prices of whatever they're selling and 2-The more you pay the less you get of their product. Don't get me wrong, I love their Mongolian Beef and my sister loves their Three meat Egg Foo Young. So I called in an order yesterday for these two same dishes that we always order. One, when I opened up my chinese box it was 3/4's full and paid over $12 for it and my sister's order of the Three Meat Egg Foo Young, she had only 1 shrimp in the sauce, SERIOUSLY one shrimp!!! Needless to say, I called the and supposedly spoke with the acting Manager/Owner and her reply was that with the cost of things going up and that it was weighed out, this is what we're getting now. Well, I don't know about anyone else, but you should at least get a full order, not 3/4's for the price we're paying for now. As much as I love this place, I will be going somewhere else...

A Hidden Gem in Tucson – Mei-Hon Delivers Every Time!

Mei-Hon is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tucson. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers an incredible variety of authentic dishes, each one more delicious than the last.

We started with the hot and sour soup and egg rolls—both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. For the main course, the Mongolian beef and orange chicken were standouts: tender, juicy, and just the right amount of spice and sweetness. The portions are generous, and everything tasted freshly made to order.

What really sets Mei-Hon apart is the consistency. Every visit, the food is spot-on, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like a valued guest. Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, you can count on quality, flavor, and friendly service.

If you’re looking for delicious Chinese food in Tucson, Mei-Hon is a must-visit. Five stars...

Mom and Pop Chinese restaurant in South Tucson. I just wanted Chinese food. I came here based on the Google recommendations, and It’s exactly what I expected. I know the area where I was visiting... it's important to keep your expectations in check. Having said that, service was friendly, food arrived quickly, and the portion size was great! I wanted decent food, with a good portion size, for a decent price. That's exactly what I got! The vegetable egg rolls are hand rolled and were crispy and delicious. The Hunan Beef (Beef with vegetables and rice on the side) was satisfying. I will be back.

What happend to this place, it used to be good... I have even refered it all accross the country... The place has little care for quality or as the fortune cookies say "Ignorance never settles a question" especially if it is abput poorly prepared food. They don't care about your happieness only their finanicial victory at your expense.

I am deeply disappointed. I spent $18.60 for Shrimp Kung pao and Thai tea. The tea was okay not great, the shrimp king pao only had 4 pieces of shrimp that were not cleaned thoroughly. The whole king pao itself felt like sauce and did not have any Chinese taste to it. It felt like veggies, no real seasoning.
