HANDS DOWN THE BEST MOM AND POP RESTAURANT FOR LEGIT MEXICAN FOOD HOME STYLE.

I have to say it's the best comida casera Mexicana aquí en Tulare CA. Neta que si. I been here four times in the past 2 months from Los Angeles to Fresno and back for work and I have to say... IT'S THAT DAMN GOOD.

I am not whatsoever picky when it comes to almost everything but VERY picky with birria y menudo because a lot of other Mexican mom and pop shops cook these dishes and oftentimes no sale nada de bueno. But right here at Birrieria Apatzingán, I'm always satisfied everytime I come and eat here. No tienen rivales.

First off, The service is amazing. Very attentive and also very friendly. Every few minutes they'll ask if everything is okay. And second, there's a lot of tables to sit down and eat as well as a big parking lot. It's very roomy inside and out. A really wonderful thins is that this restaurant has a classic Mexican restaurant vibe with Regional Mexican music (corridos, norteñas, etc) playing from the restaurant's kitchen and their tables and chairs remind me of restaurants in Mexico.

I refuse to eat at another birrieria in particular here in the San Joaquin Valley. Hat's off to Birrieria...

Everything thing I've eaten here has been very good and filling.

They have homemade tortillas and salsas that are soooo addictive!

The meat and vegetables are fresh, and have great color, taste and texture.

The portion size is generous, even for a man-sized belly, and they check on you at about the right pace to see how you are doing, and if you need a refill of your beverage. I usually get the Mexico made Coca-Cola, so I just order a second if I'm really thirsty.

The staff is pleasant and professional. Even during covid they obeyed the rules and opened only when authorized. This made it rough on us that eat here often, but I'm sure it was best for all citizens.

They clean often and follow the state protocol, which is a great example! 😁😁😁

I have always received wonderful service and expect to continue dining here when I come through town.

EDIT: The menu has a large selection offering plenty of meal options.

I did not mention on my previous review that this restaurant (usually) has a HUGE treat/candy section at the check-out area.

My favorite treat is the crumble peanut-butter cookie.. yum!...

If would be able to leave no star I would. We came to eat here because we heard the birrieria was good. When we got here at 4:31 they told us we couldn't eat in and we had to order food to go. Their hours state that they close at 5. We decided to order take out as we were looking at the menu, were a party of 7 one of the waitresses kept hurring us up. That if we didnt order soon we wont be able to order to go as well. This was about 4:40 still have 20 min before they closed. Once we ordered and were waiting for our food, I heard a waitresses tell a guy that they can stay as long as they want and order but yet again we weren't able to sit and were rushed to order. They turned away a ton of customers within the 30 min before they closed. Honestly I felt like we were profiled and felt disrespected when they told us we couldn't sit and were hurting us up to order take out 30 min before we close. Never again will I stop by to the owner check your camera on what time we got here and how much business they turned away in 30 min because the workers wanted to go home. 10-13-19 @ 430 we were...
