Pretty disappointing! This was almost the first time I took an entire order back and asked them to bring the cook and expeditor out to review the order for accuracy and to taste the slop they pushed out the kitchen yesterday. My order said it would be ready starting between 12:35pm and 12:45pm. I was there at 12:32pm, I walked in to pick up the order, there are a few booths with people but it’s not slammed. I was told to go over to another area, so I walked over to a register area, no signs denoting “To-Go or “Order Pickup” or I would have gone straight there instead of waiting at the hostess stand wondering where to pick up from? A man after a minute or two came over asked me if I was picking up or placing an order. I advised my name for pickup and he said not ready I said no problem, I happily went to the bar to wait and was going to order a drink, so I thought. No one going in and out of the bar making drinks area greeted me or asked me if I wanted anything. So after the 3rd person back there who finally got close enough with the drink they were making, I asked if they did anything to go, as it had been 10 min already and I figured the food would be close to being done, the answer was no, she was at least polite. After about 10 minutes 2 orders came out, not mine still fine, I waited a few more minutes and mine came out and was put on the bar next to me. I ordered steak nachos with everything but jalapeños, the los flautas beef with beans and the el tequila dip with chorizo. The real bummer of the show was the stale not even close to crispy chips that came with the el tequila chorizo dip. I’m fairly certain that either you use the same ladle for the ground beef and chorizo or think your patrons wouldn’t know the difference if you’re mixing them or just messing up orders as I clearly tasted both meats. These chips I should have guessed would be a theme in my nachos. My steak nachos were just pathetic, floppy, sloppy, lukewarm warm and had 8 total (yes I took a picture) completely soaked chips at the bottom of some cheese sauce, with a pile of meat in the middle, some seriously sub par execution and guess what included a wet sloppy pile of jalapeños. The los flautas were beef (so that was right), which were sloppily put together lacking flavor, not crispy and I was given rice instead of the beans I ordered. Which I checked my order before submitting it that it was correct, I checked the name and receipt that it said what I ordered I was picking up when it was handed to me. I guess I should have opened the order and triple checked their work to ensure I was getting what I paid for. The amount of time it took me to get my order from their hands to my house was under 5 minutes. I’m of the opinion the food had sat for a while which is bad or this is the quality and execution they offer on the regular which is way worse, either way there’s no reason for me to return here.

I ordered via Grubhub. The carnitas lunch and the small aquachile. First of all, it was a ton of food. A huge bag of chips with two large individual cups of salsa. Carnitas, rice & beans in one container, toppings in another. The carnitas were perfect. Well seasoned, well done as they should be, and tender. The rice could do without peas, but it was well seasoned, as were the beans. The tortillas were excellent. The star of the show was the aquachile. Oh my goodness. Perfect amount of spice, the shrimp were firm. It was limey, and a touch of sweet with the mango. Tons of avocado on top. Absolutely excellent. 100% in the top five meals I've had in Tulsa. I prefer carts with authentic, well seasoned, carne asada street tacos . Haven't had anything mind-blowing here. But this aquachile. 5 stars. And half the time carnitas aren't crispy on the outside like they should be or they're soooooo fatty. Some fat is good, obviously, but this was 👌🏽🩷 very pleased with this choice!

We have been to El Tequila many times and went there for lunch today. I ordered their lunch Burrito…and was surprised to find a very large chicken bone inside the burrito. I ate the rest of the burrito very slowly for fear of more! I showed the bone to my server..and shared that I have a cousin who died after choking on a bone at a restaurant! She mumbled Okay, Sorry and took my plate. The manager did not come over to apologize, and we were not offered a discount or comp for the dish I ordered. I’m lucky I found the bone before ingesting it….you are forewarned. With so many Mexican restaurants to choose from, we will not be back!

ATTN STEAK LOVERS: Maybe it was my mistake but decided to try their steak meal and lemme tell you....if you like flavor, this ain't it. I can't cook..like at all. Just doesn't really make sense to me. But that doesn't mean I don't know a good meal when I taste one. Today I felt like I was eating a meal made by me. And to be honest, I actually have full confidence that I could make the same meal and it have more flavor. So so so disappointed that I spent 17 bucks on food that taste worse than microwave dinners. With how bland it was, I wouldn't pay 10 for it. Wouldn't even buy this even if it WAS offered as a $2 frozen dinner. Thank God I was mainly just eating to get food in my stomach, and not because I was actually craving any kind of Mexican flavor (ate 1 tortilla, couldn't do anymore than that). Please don't go here if you want to eat at a really good Mexican type restaurant. Or steak. There are WAY better places I'm sure you could easily find. It's always the mainstream ones I find that really don't deliver for what they charge. Steak is expensive, I get that. But gross steak is gross steak. Period. Should be a crime to charge for poorly cooked steak 😂 I guess it should have been a warning when I opened my meal and it really didn't smell like...anything. and yes, I double sniffed because I was actually confused as to how cheese, steak , shrimp, chicken and peppers, rice and all these ingredients just don't really have a smell. You know it ain't seasoned if you can't smell it lol - unless...

OVERALL - ☆ I DEFINITELY do not recommend this restaurant. It took way too long to get food and the staff, service and food were not worth the visit at all. After a very disappointing hour-long experience, the manager not the server even so much as apologized or offered an opportunity to try again next time. Will not be back for sure.

SERVICE - ☆ Our server was new and was definitely struggling. The entire staff seemed to be struggling. Food came out incorrect because it was incorrectly entered. Considering this is a Mexican restaurant. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to get your food. 2 couples came in after us and got their food before ours... and two of them ordered the same thing we did

ENVIRONMENT - ☆ The air conditioner wasn't working very well and it appeared that they had a leak of some kind in their secondary dining area. In addition, the men's restroom has only one sink, which wasn't working. No one seemed too worried and referred me to use the service station sink to wash my hands. In addition, we came with our 1 year old daughter and they have is a high chair with one of the belt straps missing. Had to wait for them to find one with both straps.

FOOD - ☆☆ The queso came out without chips. By the time they came out the queso was cold. When they finally got our order right, the beans were cold. When they brought the replacement beans, they were cold as well. The fajitas we ordered were ok but a bit light on the...
