Southern Style Eatery — Restaurant in Tulsa

I arrived at the Southern Style Eatery at about 7:51. Yes, they close at 8pm, but i only wanted to order to go. The owner greeted me by saying, "you know, were closed, but that's OK, u can be my last customer". I thanked him for that. My son and I debated what he would eat while the cashier listened and answered questions. We decided on the chicken strip meal. Then I ordered the 3 fish 3 shrimp meal with 2 sides for $1 more, an extra side and some packets of ketchup and some lemons. I asked how big the shrimp were. The cashier demonstrated, with her fingers, what appeared to be about 4ish inches. I said, "Oh OK, so a prawn"? To which she nodded yes. I finished my order and we sat to wait. Once I got my meal I reslized the child's meal wasn't in the bag. I asked about it and the cashier said that I didn't order one. I disagreed but said dont worry about it,I hadn't paid for it. My meal was $17.09 The sides were 6oz cups. No lemon, no ketchup and the shrimp were shrimp cocktail size. I was already upset that my son didn't have food in the bag, then the missing condiments and little shrimp made me feel like my money was unappreciated. So I went to the door and knocked. The owner came to the door and I explained my frustration. I asked for a refund and he said no and began to explain why. I said that's neither here nor there. I'm asking for a refund and if you choose not to fine, but I'm asking. He looked at me and said "yes fine". He took the food from me and tossed it on the table just inside the door and came back with the money. I thanked him and he politely told me to have a good evening. I must say, he really kept it civil and I appreciate that. This was my first time experience at this restaurant and I can't say I'd never eat there, the food smelled amazing, but first impressions are...

I was craving fried okra and just so happened to be on this side of town when i spotted this southern style resturant. First time being here, clean floors, clean tables, and the cashier was nice. Took our order correctly and efficiently and called out our food to the cook so he could get started right away! After ordering and grabbing our drinks, our food arrived maybe 10-15 minutes later. My familys food came out hot AND fresh and you could just tell their fryer oil gets changed regulary. The chicken and catfish we order was seasoned to perfection along with the french fries and of course the okra we ordered as sides. Had Family Feud playing while we ate and made the dining experience more entertaining by guessing along with the families on the TV. In love with this place and will be coming by more...

I attempted to call in an order and was pressed for time so I wanted my order done when I got there. The guy put me on hold... I was on hold the whole 15 min drive there including a stop at the ATM. I hung up when I got there because obviously I wasn't going to get to place my order over the phone. I informed him that I'd hung up because I was indeed there and he tells me to hold again. Couldn't tell you anything about this place because I asked him how much longer I would need to be put on hold to place an order and I was standing right there. He rolled his eyes, made a noise and ignored me. I walked out. I miss the old two that worked in there the cook and the host was very polite then.
