I visited Tally's for the first time today with my kid. The first thing out of my mouth to the waitress was that it was our first time there. The waitress already acted like she didn't want to be there and just wanted to put in our order to do her side work. My child ordered chicken, assuming it was breaded(the menu did not say that it was grilled) and what came to the table was grilled chicken. I brought the waitress asked if there was a problem, I said it wasn't breaded like we had thought, and she, without any hesitation, put in an order for breaded tenders. At NO POINT did she say that I was going to be charged for the unwanted food. I didn't know I was being charged for the third plate until I got my ticket. I told her a heads up would have been nice and she kept repeatedly talking over me with "I'm sorry". I tried to explain to her how to avoid this situation and she refused to listen. A second waitress, a whole grown woman, who had nothing to do with my dining experience, decided to butt in with MORE apologies and make the situation much more dramatic than it needed by running through the dining room where other customers were and saying" oh great, I'm being yelled at too". I never once yelled but the waitress was refusing to listen to me and i had to speak over her repetive apologies. I have never seen a bunch of grown women act like that in front of customers. If she would have simply stated "if I put in another order, you're still going to have to pay for the plate you don't want" I would have had NO issue, but again, she wanted to keep talking over me. I have second hand embarrassment from the way those waitresses handled this. I will never come back. The food WAS NOT good enough for what I experienced. Tally was standing in the back the whole time and allowed this to happen, allowed his STAFF to carry on and handle the situation...

I ate here for the first time today. The place is cool looking, but it needs a good cleaning. The tables were clean, but the rest was not. There is a Tiffany light in the entrance, but it was not the show piece it should be. The floors were ok, and the bathroom room was pretty stinky. The outside was just as dirty, but it is down town Tulsa, so I have to hold that in perspective. It is located on Historic Rt. 66. The service was wonderful. Her name was Whitni according to the receipt. She was attentive and quick with the refills. She just did a great job. The place does charge a 2% credit card charge so be ready for that. I got the chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, eggs with wheat toast. The hash browns were the best part of my dish. The steak had a pile of breading with a smallish hunk of tough unseasoned steak waiting inside. The toast was good, the eggs were ok. My wife got the Avocado toast. It was absolutely delicious. Everything is done just right and had the best balance of flavors. My mother-in-love got two eggs two bacon and biscuit and gravy. It too was done well. The giant cinnamon roll was definitely the star of the show. It is massive and gooey. It is large enough for 4 but 2 can do it if you like cinnamon rolls. The art on the walls create the atmosphere of an old time dinner. The front walk had lots of variety in plants attempting to create a welcoming atmosphere. If I was to base my return on my dish I would not return, but having sampled my wife’s avocado toast, I will give it another try. The cinnamon roll is the icing on the cake, don’t miss this sweet treat delight.

The chicken fried steak was very good, service was excellent, roll was good. My aunt had a chicken sandwich, the meat was thick and she said it was good, her only complaint was that her fries were cold. Very busy place, a little hard to find a park and we didn't find handicap parking, I'm sure they have some somewhere. Don't know what was different this time, but the chicken fried steak had a whang to it. My aunt had a boss burger and she really liked it, she had the garlic sauce on the side. Her onion rings were good also. The service was good and friendly. Coffee or soda is $2.5, chicken fried steak is $11.95, the boss burger is $9.95, onion rings $1 and homemade cinnamon rolls are $4.95; they are big. The cinnamon rolls tasted like they have coffee in them this time? My wife and I had breakfast today. It was good. She had the farmer's omelet, I had 2 egg combo. Both came with sides. Sweet tea and coffee were $2.50 each, but it came with refills and go cups. The omelet was $11.50 and combo was $9.50. I have had just about always had a good experience at Tally's and I recommend them. My daughter and I ate here today. It was a Saturday around two and I was surprised they were so busy. I had the chicken fried steak and it was very good. The roll and the sides were good. My daughter had avocado chicken sandwich and fries, she said it was good. The cinnamon rolls were fine this time. I would rather sit somewhere other than the first dining area. Next time I will request that. I recommend you try them if you never have. You will need a take out box for the cinnamon roll, unless you're...

What's not to enjoy about this unique diner in Tulsa that's just on the corner of Route 66. I just love the old-school diner vibe they have going on. Our second time eating here, the first time was the massive cinnamon roll which is superb! We came in the other day for some breakfast, a little bit busy. Service was good, helpful, and friendly. Tried the 3 egg omelet with bacon, and good homestyle cooking. The pancake was alright not my favorite that I've ever had. My husband got the steak and eggs with hashbrowns. Seemed to enjoy it. Would be back! Still have to try your famous chicken fried steak. Back for the 3rd time and I got to try your famous chicken fried steak and it was not good really chewy and too much gristle. Not much flavor. Okra was cold. Mashed tators and gravy were good. Came in with husband and sister this time. She said her chicken fried steak was good but too much gristle to eat. Hubby got breakfast and liked it. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. I'm sure I'll keep coming back to try different items! What can I say this diner is really one-of-a-kind
