Super over priced
Edited: yes.. I did check the establishment to temper my expectations which is why I expected an amazing cup of coffee, which I don't mind paying alot for. But instead received a coffee that could've been easily confused with mcdonalds for triple the price. I feel like they focused alot on atmosphere, which is great, and less on making their coffee reach the same level. Maybe I should've seen the beautiful atmosphere and expected a less than beautiful cup of coffee? If so, my bad.
We did ask questions before we ordered like the owner so kindly suggested, but received also mcdonalds worthy service.
So again, I'll reiterate, "super over priced."
Which is a bummer because i was eagerly awaiting the opening of this establishment since it is a 4 minute walk from my house. I was so looking forward to walking there every morning, but highly disappointed with the service and the owners snooty response.
I guess I'll point myself back to mcdonalds, where I belong.

Read moreLove coming here. The coffee is really good quality, it's a locally owned business and from what I understand ethically sourced Ethiopian coffee. We started coming to Rise N Brew near their opening. Marcus has been there since day one and knows how to make an amazing cup of coffee. The shop has grown and now offers a broad array of pastries and food stuffs and even sell fresh bags of beans. I believe they've teamed up with some other local businesses to have fresh flowers on their tables as well as local magazines and I think some pastries too. My only complaint is that since they've grown in popularity it's sometimes hard to find a seat! I wouldn't consider this a coffee shop to hang out in, just a nice stop for a chat and some refreshments. Don't plan on doing work or other business here. The pricing is a little on the expensive side but in my opinion is worth it due to the higher quality. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I do and make sure to get a bag of beans on...
Read moreI went there with my niece and got a turkey pesto sandwhich. There were 5 employees there only 2 were "working" one guy was wiping down tables and the one sorta making the sandwiches, there was a couple that ordered Sandwiches before me. It took 18 minutes for my sandwich to be made because the other three employees who weren't doing anything were talking to the one that was working. This shop could run on 2 or 3 people, no need for 5 especially, when they weren't doing anything. My sandwich bread was sooooo hard. My red velvet cookie was warmed up and it made it hard. I wasn't impressed. My niece likes their brownies.
The place was nicely decorated but extremely cramped. It had about 7 people in there not including the staff and it felt crowded, not in a good way. I probably won't order food again. I might try the coffee. I love indie coffee places and this one missed the mark.
Your employees should be assets to the company and the ones you have did not give a...
