Nice, shady park with a great playground, basketball hoops, lots of benches and picnic tables, and tennis courts. Nice walking paths all throughout the park. Lots and lots of grass to play Frisbee or kick a ball around. There are 2 sets of swings, jungle gym, and many other ride or climb on activity items for the little ones. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash and friendly. Plenty of parking all around the whole park, including handicapped parking. And so much wonderful shade during the hot months. If you want to celebrate a birthday or another type of gathering, you will need to go to Turlock Park & Recreation and reserve the spot you want. There are fees involved. You can go online to the TP&R website to find pricing and info about that. Always clean and well kept. There are restrooms but may be questionable on weather or not you would want to use them. There are barbacue pits next to each picnic table but again you may want to bring your own little portable grill to cook your goodies on. Read moreVisiting from out of town, and this is one of the dirtiest parks I've visited on the trip. Picnic areas were covered in trash from children's parties. Maybe if people picked up after themselves it could be a nice place to hangout with family, but instead they leave water balloons, confetti, plastic wrappers, bottle caps and cigarette butts for my toddler to try and eat.
