Chinatown Restaurant — Restaurant in Tuscola

This review is from the son of the restaurant owners, so I would like to explain a few things. I totally understand where the negativity is coming from. There are times where the food isn't the freshest, but that is only during the dead hours of the day. Please understand that a buffet of our size can't afford to make dozens of batches of food for only a few customers because a majority of the food will go to waste. So as the customer, you have all the power to ask for any item on the buffet that is either old or running low. I can speak for the rest of the employees at the restaurant when I say that we are happy to make any item on the buffet that is running low. So my tip for you is to go during the busy hours, but if you find yourself in the dead hours of the day, ask the employees for any item you want. If that seems like too much of an hassle, there is always a menu to order from with a variety of options for a reasonable price. As for the waitresses, they are from a country of very loud talkers and direct people, but that most certainly does that excuse their behavior. Giving this place one star is extremely generous. My family and I frequently eat here, and its steadily going down hill each time we go. Their take out is always pretty good, however the buffet is horrible. If you get there anytime after 6pm the food looks as if it has sat there all day. There may be a spoonful if any. The service was just as bad. The woman who took care of us, if you want to call it that was extremely rude. I waited for 10 minutes for her to empty her dustpan. When i asked her for a refill she snatched it out of my hand. She had an attitude problem from the moment we walked in. It was unprofessional, and uncalled for. Then we got the bill. $60.00, for awful service, food that was anything but fresh, and a small selection. I do believe this will be the last time i spend my hard earned money in this establishment. My overall experience was not pleasant. As I arrived I the restaurant the waitress asked what I wanted to drink in a tone that can be considered almost as screaming. This made me feel unwelcome. Once she brought I drinks she slammed them on the table. She also took our plates before given her consent. Making us feel as if she was trying to make us eat faster or trying to get rid of us fast.

Food is some what ok, but for dinner is horrible since it's all the leftovers from lunch hour. Chicken and rice by dinner time is over heated and they will not bring fresh food unless they get rid of all the old food.

Overall I do not recommend paying some what high price for a unwelcoming waitress. And it is not worth paying 8.75 for over heated food and overall...
