I'm honest about my reviews I'm giving a 3star because the pot roast was great. Let me start by saying my husband had the special which was pot roast potatoes lima beans and it was very good. Thankfully he gave me some of his. Because I ordered the pecan chicken salad. Supposedly it's the top 100 things to eat in Alabama. Well I don't even know where to begin. I'm not being ugly but I like I said I believe in truthful reviews. I was able to eat five bites and that was with crackers. It was some of the worst chicken salad I've ever had. Way way too much mayonnaise a few pecans and chunks of celery. I was very excited to try it because I love chicken salad needless to say I was very disappointed. Me and the family ate at Claunch's today and I had the roast beef plate for the first time. It was absolutely delicious. The kids had the chicken tenders and they loved them as well. We all got desert, the brownies and the banana pudding are to die for. This is one of if not my favorite places to get to eat. A pleasant surprise! Returning home after decades away, this place came highly recommended and I can see why. The food was perfect and a great example of southern cooking, our servers were fantastic and hospitable, and the prices were exceptional for the amount of food we were served.
