I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nosh House, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the corned beef and pastrami panini, which left my taste buds in a state of pure bliss. The combination of tender meat, flavorful spices, and perfectly toasted bread was a match made in sandwich heaven. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a truly delicious panini.
While the panini stole the show, I must admit that my experience with the OMG fried chicken sandwich fell a bit short of my expectations. Perhaps the name had set my hopes too high, but the sandwich didn't quite live up to its extravagant title. The chicken lacked the wow factor I was anticipating, I would have enjoyed a thicker batter as one expects with a fried chicken sandwich, to me this was between that and a schnitzel. However, taste preferences can vary, so it might still be worth a try for others.
On the bright side, the potato salad accompanying my meal was a pleasant surprise. Its creamy texture, well-balanced seasoning, and subtle tanginess complemented the panini perfectly. It's a definite winner if you're looking for a tasty side dish. Additionally, the fries were exceptional – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served piping hot. They made for a delectable and satisfying accompaniment to my meal.
Despite my mixed feelings about the fried chicken sandwich, I can confidently say that I will be returning to Nosh House. The delicious panini, enjoyable sides like the potato salad, and fantastic fries make it a place worth revisiting. I would definitely recommend this establishment to fellow food enthusiasts, especially for their mouthwatering panini and...
Read moreNot sure why delivery means sub-par, it did not used to be that way. Ordered the kids burger with fries and asked for extra pickles; the burger was not real beef or at least it was not 100% beef: it was some kind of soy/compound patty with a sour under-flavor- absolutely not the same excellent, kosher beef they use in the adult burger. If there had been any indication on the menu, we would have ordered the children's chicken strips instead. Asking for extra pickles resulted in 3 skinny pickle slices, and there was no lettuce or tomato. Package was delivered fresh but already leaky and cold. With delivery it cost more than $20. We've ordered the adult burger for delivery and received the child's instead, and ordered the salmon salad that arrived with a single tiny square of salmon in it. We stopped ordering delivery as a special treat because it had gone from being first rate to being consistently disappointing compared to dining in. This is the only kosher restaurant option in OC, we don't understand why they just don't care when it comes...
Read moreFood quality is good and staff is nice however this is our second time going here and they both times did not include purchased items. First time we had no side salads with our meals. We also purchased a kids spaghetti bolognese and were surprised to find how small it was for a whopping $11. We understand that it’s a kid’s item, however $11 for a nonfilled 350ml container of an item as cheap as spaghetti is robbery. An adult portion would be 5-7x larger and only marginally more expensive. We were also told our order came with ketchup (after asking specifically to confirm we got ketchup for our large order) and found 3 packets for our 15 items including 5 orders of fries alone. Being the only kosher option does not excuse...
