Last week we reached out to parents who live in Old Town Tustin to find out what they love about their area. You guys gave so many good responses, but the two things that really stood out are its history and walkability. You can park in one spot and visit several family friendly destinations. All of these spots & events were recommended by multiple families and they are all within walking distance from each other! Places: 🌳Peppertree Park is next to downtown and has an accessible playground with a musical theme. They also do events at this park throughout the year. 📚Arvida is a beloved independent book store with a little kids section ☕️Hola Adios Coffeeshop used to be a popular clothing store for teens in the 1960s, but now it’s a fun and funky coffee shop with delicious pastries. 👗Morning Lavender has a cute clothing boutique and tasty lavender lattes. Take your kids here for a tea party! 🕊️ White Sparrow is another coffee shop that many parents recommended! 🚒The Tustin Area Historical Museum is free to visit and it is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm, and Saturdays from 11 am until 3 pm Events: 🥕Farmers Market every Wednesday from 9am-1pm 🧣Monthly flea market on 4th Sunday of each month from 7am-2pm 🎡 Tiller Days is October 6th-8th and has a carnival and parade! 🧸Tustin library has children’s programming every day except for Sundays and Friday. 👻Tustin Historical Society has 6 ghost tours happening in October! 🪴 The One Seed Community Garden has a Farm Tour and Composting Class on the second Saturday of every month! I've driven by the Historical Society many many times and finally went there tonight. I'm so glad that we did. They were very gracious, opened up the museum after hours for are Cub Scout Troop. The kids and the adults are really enjoyed it, learned a lot about the founding of the city of Tustin and how it was to live back then. They have many historical items and photos to look at. Having lived in Tustin for a while it was nice to see how the city was founded and so the history of our great City.

It was amazing to visit Historical Society museum. It took almost an hour. The staff were nice. They explained and showed how the machines were working. My 5,5 years old enjoyed the time, learned so many points about antique staff.
