If you’re ever near the base in Twenty Nine Palms, do yourself a favor and stop by Taqueria Las Palms!

This isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a sanctuary for anyone craving real, soulful, home-cooked Mexican food and the kind of warmth you’d expect from family.

From the moment you walk in, you’re not treated like a customer — you’re treated like family. Jasmine, the daughter who helps run the place, somehow remembers everyone who walks through the door. She greets you with a smile and a story, checks in like an old friend, and makes sure every single person feels seen and valued.

Then there’s the food… and words genuinely fall short. Jasmine’s mom, the heart and soul of the kitchen, pours her pride and heritage into every single dish. You can taste the love in every bite. It doesn’t feel like you’re eating out — it feels like you’re sitting at your mom’s kitchen table after a long day, and she’s making your favorite meal just the way you like it.

To any Marine stationed out here — especially if you’re feeling homesick — this place will ground you. It’ll remind you of everything you miss about home, and it’ll do so with a plate of the best Mexican food you’ve probably ever had.

And to everyone else — if you think you’ve had authentic Mexican food, think again. Taqueria Las Palms sets the standard. It’s not just the best in town — it’s easily one of the best in the country.

Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how I feel about this place. This isn’t just a review — it’s...

Update* Went there for a second time. The food was made really well again! The flavors were on point and the portions were perfect! I highly recommend it!

I Dined in for the first time here! The food was really good. Please note there is a worthwhile wait for your food, about 15min. or less so plan to stay for it! They make fresh to order and it was so so good😋! You can see the passion in the dishes they cook! We ordered Birria Tacos and Tacos Diabla. It was a lot of really good food🙏🏼!! Enough for leftovers even. I highly recommend this if you're in the area, and our server was absolutely sweet and amazing! They are very attentive, and they have some must try hot sauces that will make your nose run. The place was clean and it wasn't busy 1230pm...

Taqueria Las Palmas is a hidden gem in 29 Palms! I’ve tried a lot of Mexican restaurants around 29 Palms and Yucca, and this one is easily top tier. 10/10. Hands down better than Castañeda’s down the street. Every bite tasted like it was made with heart. The salsa and guacamole tasted homemade—bursting with flavor—and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was the perfect touch.

The service was warm and welcoming. You can tell the family running it really cares about their food and their guests. The prices are a little on the higher side, but well worth it for the quality and authenticity!

If you're looking for a delicious, authentic Mexican breakfast or dinner, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Highly...

If you like my comment please click on the ❤️ and show some love 💘 Place was kind of empty, not real decorations, or anything to give off the feeling I'm in a Mexican restaurant. Price was alright, steak was little over burnt, beans were great, rice was ok. Sauces was good. Yeah I enjoyed it, I had to get over the fact it was slightly burnt. Yeah I recommend this spot to anyone, just next time I really gotta let them know not to burn my steak
