My boss asked me to go to lunch with him at Subway, because he had a coupon for a footlong meal. We decided to split it. While IN LINE, I asked my boss if he was going to get chips and a drink, because I would pay for it if he wanted to. My boss said "No, you can have it." When he went to the register to pay, I grabbed chips and a cup, and he asked for a water cup. The gentleman at the register was changing his receipt tape, so I waited, and he never looked up at me or acknowledged me, so I decided to get my drink. I looked over at him, next at the register, and he STILL NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED ME, or any other customers behind me while he was changing his receipt tape, or afterwards. So, I assumed that my boss had taken care of the drink and chips, as a meal. I walked outside to sit at the patio table, and even as I was walking outside, the gentleman never said a word. (There was a line behind me, however). My boss and I were outside eating for about 5-7 minutes before the gentleman came out. He approached our table and said "Are you actually gonna pay for that, or?" RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY BOSS! I looked back at him, stood up and apologized IMMEDIATELY. I explained to him that I thought my boss had taken care of the drink and chips as a meal. The entire time we walked back up the steps and inside and he cashed me out, he never looked at me, never acknowledged ANYTHING that I said to apologize, and did not even look at me when he said "thank you". He was the most rude employee I'd ever run into at that location, and he had the same attitude the whole time I was in line, before this misunderstanding. I called the restaurant when I returned to work, hoping to speak with someone about this experience, and just let a manager know that in a situation like that, it is completely inappropriate to say "Are you actually gonna pay for that, or..?" I was so offended and embarrassed as the total was $2.60 that I happily paid, but my boss was right next to me. When the phone was answered, I asked for a manager, which I had received upon dialing. I calmly started to explain what happened, never asked for ANYTHING, and I was interrupted by the gentleman that I had the encounter with (I guess he was the manager on duty). He said "When I have a customer that doesn't pay for something, I am going to ask them why they didn't pay for it". I explained to him that that is not how he approached me. He argued with me, AND HANGED UP IN MY FACE SAYING "HE HAD A BUSINESS TO RUN!!!!!" I called back multiple times, but no one answered.
I called once again and finally got an answer, the same gentleman then told me that he was NOT going to apologize for the way that he approached me, even though it was a misunderstanding, and I had apologized. He said that I was the one that was wrong because I walked out without paying for my food.
I have NEVER been treated so rudely, I made an HONEST mistake, and I never once denied or had any intention of not correcting MY MISTAKE, and I apologized numerous times for the misunderstanding. This employee needs to know that how he handled this was INAPPROPRIATE in ANY COMPANY.
And, THAT is what I called to...
Read moreBefore covid, this place was a regular stop on my lunch rotation throughout the week. Today, that most definitely changed. I’ve been told for YEARS that all breakfast flatbreads HAVE to be toasted and I’ve never questioned it. Today, I thought I’d try ordering using the app. I have no idea what is so different ordering on the app vs ordering in store, but the bacon egg and cheese flatbread I ordered was STONE COLD. The egg was cold, the bacon was cold, everything tasted like it was fresh out of the refrigerator. I only took 3 bites and threw it away. Only had a half hour for lunch so I didn’t have time to take it back. Not only was it a waste of money, but here it is 8 hours later and I feel TERRIBLE. I am literally sick. It’s the only thing I ate all day so it’s pretty easy to narrow down what it could be. This location is so convenient for me too. I really hope they get it together again because this whole experience...

The cashiers working today are horrible horrible cashiers; they wanted to sit there and argue with me claiming they didn't have an online order from me when they did; oppose to saying sorry they didn't see it in there system they proceeded to want to argue with me about it; oppose to just making the sandwich. Now I am hungry; didn't have lunch and have more meetings. Be warned; never go if todays...
