Denny's — Restaurant in Tye

I just want to express my outrage at this establishment and its staff!!!!! Not only did I have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated so I could enjoy my favorite steak, but there were also 5 other people in line who had clearly been waiting for a long time as well. After this, I asked if it was possible to be seated, and a female staff member — who had come over to process the bills for other customers — responded to me very rudely, saying I needed to stand in line with the others and wait!

Let me say it again: it was completely unacceptable to speak to a guest like that. After she finished with the other customers, she simply left, and we were left standing there waiting. After another 5 minutes, I was exhausted from waiting — it had already been 25 minutes — and everyone around could see this. I also became concerned that with such unprofessional staff, someone might tamper with my food or drink, so I decided to leave.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I will never, and I repeat never, come back to this place again — and I strongly advise others to avoid...

For over 11 years my husband and I have come here. It was always good, but just like everywhere else , since covid the food, service and quality of everything had dropped dramatically!.. But TYE, TEXAS.. DENNY'S FLYING J. HAS RAISED THE BAR!!. YES THEY STAY OPEN ALL NIGHT. SHAY THE NIGHT SHIFT COOK IS ONE OF A KIND, ALEX THE WAITRESS IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT, AND EVEN THE MANAGER STEVEN WILL COME OUT AND HELP OR ASSIST WITH ANYTHING. THEY CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS, ALL THREE DESERVE A RAISE!!!! The restaurant is clean and smells good. SHAY MADE ME A BACON, AVACODO, DOUBLE CHEESE BURGER WITH LETTUCE TOMATOES ONIONS AND PICKLES WITH MAYONNAISE,,, I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO THAT BURGER WITHOUT TAKING OFF ONE OF THE PATTIES BECAUSE IT WOULD FALL APART, BUT HE SITUATED ALL OF IT TO STAY IN PLACE. Stopped in while traveling, probably 3 other tables max. One lady working. Started off decent, even though the booth itself was dirty. Placed our order and after 47 minutes of no waitress coming back to say anything to us and not getting any food we decided to leave. I waited at the checkout to pay for our drinks and could hear the waitress yelling at the kitchen about messed up orders and that they had not even made my husbands sandwich yet. She finally came to the check out after waiting for 5 minutes and was extremely rude that we were leaving. Charged me $12 for 3 drinks, and a kids drink. When the receipt printed she said "want yo receipt or you good." No sorry for the wait, discount for the experience- nothing. White lady with extremely filled in eyebrows and facial piercings. We have a 13 hr trip left ahead of us and have never waited for an hour to get our food at a dennys before. Thankfully we aren't local and wont be back! If you want a quick meal its best not...
