I was very excited by the news of the Cafe's opening, and immediately made plans to visit.
Pros: The location is clean -The décor is nice Parking was ample -The surrounding area is beautiful -The desserts that we tried (strawberry cupcake and cookie cream pie) were very tasty The sandwiches were tasty
Cons: The seating is VERY limited. There was about 8 bar types seats inside, but you were constantly in the way of people waiting in line, going to the restroom, or getting their drink, if you sitting at any of them. There were also a couple of 2 seat tables outside. The sandwiches, which will also tie into my next con. The bread for the sandwiches is merely store bought GF bread. I was expecting baked bread, considering the price, but was instead given bread that I routinely see at Sprouts and Fresh. The Ciabatta bread was a little bit higher quality than the sandwich bread, which seemed like cheaper millet GF bread, but was still just Schar brand bread. The prices. While the food was all good, the prices were far too high for what you are getting, imo. The cupcakes were tiny, as were the cookies, and were $4+ each. The sandwiches were $14+, and the snack boxes (crackers, boiled egg, hummus, veggies) starts at $11. Those prices are unreasonable, imo, for the food you are getting.
Overall, we were very disappointed in the experience, and hope that things improve with time. Tyler definitely needs...
Read moreWhen it comes to good food, it doesn’t take much to influence me. I saw a post/rave yesterday about JoyFull Bites Cafe and I just knew it was going to be good. I quickly made my way over and ordered the weekly special, which happened to be tostadas. I swear I could eat a tostado a day and be a happy man. I only had a 10 minute drive home, but it seemed like it took forever. I called my wife and told her I was bringing lunch home. Within minutes of arriving home, we were already digging in.
The tostadas were absolutely perfect in every single way. The flavors were incredible, especially that jalapeño ranch. The tostada shell itself was still nice and crunchy, even after a 10 minute drive with all the ingredients stacked on top.
Those ingredients were:
•Grass fed taco meat •Organic black beans •Colby jack goat cheese •Shredded romaine •House made salsa fresca •House made jalapeño ranch •Avocado mash.
I can’t recommend this dish enough. They also had tons of delicious looking treats, although I resisted. It was hard, but I turned the other cheek lol.
If you haven’t stopped by yet, make your way over and find out how good their stuff really is. Everything is gluten free...
Read moreI was at joyful bites today January 17 2025. Finding this place was so fortunate for me. As someone who can't eat gluten and lives in a rural community where you can't eat out, I was surely joyful there today. I had a waffle with berries and maple syrup and it was perfect. Better than gluten waffles! I bought a blueberry muffin, snickerdoodle cookies and a specialty cookie drizzled with chocolate. I've sampled them all and am not disappointed in the least. . Each one is delicious. It's a tiny place with minimal seating inside, but there is outside seating. 10/10 recommend and I...
