Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Uhrichsville

4 May 2024: A week earlier, I had the fortunate opportunity to try a chili cheese dog at the Dairy Queen in Strasburg, Ohio. I happily ate the hotdog, enjoying the sunny weather while parked at the Marathon station parking lot there in Strasburg. That chili cheese hotdog tasted great. Large chunks of chili meat, sauce, and beans all covering a healthy size hotdog drizzled in cheese inside a fresh hot dog bun. I was very impressed, even with the friendly customer service at the drive-thru. Fast foward to today, 4 May. Before I left the Urichsville area earlier this afternoon, I decided to have another one of Dairy Queens excellent tasting chili cheese dogs. As a matter of fact, I ordered 2 and since it was raining, decided to drive home first. What an incredible difference a change in location can make. When I got home and opened up the 2 hot dog cartons, here's what I found. A smaller hotdog with a thicker skin drizzled in cheese resting in barbecue sauce inside of a 'chewy' hotdog roll. "Where's the chili?", I asked myself. No way did that barbecue tasting brown sauce even remotely resembled chili in appearance and certainly not taste. Both hotdogs were this way. What a disappointment. Please let my sad experience be a guide for your decision making if you decide upon a chili cheese dog at this location. Sad. $3.69 X 2. Lesson...

Extremely disappointed.. first it took.someone 8 minutes to come take my order when I could hear em talking in the back. Second, I wanted a fresh "cup cake" made because the ones in the freezer are as hard as rocks and I wanted to eat it right away. They told me they couldn't do it even though I know you can because I used to work there at another location and it isn't hard at all and maybe takes 2 minutes... All it is, is vanilla and chocolate soft serve, fudge, and crunchy cookie crumbs layered... they were just being extremely lazy cuz I heard as I was leaving "I ain't doing that". Awful. I could understand if there wasn't time but they were messing around and not doing their job. Disrespectful and lazy as all hell. Deserve to be written up or even fired....

I went inside and picked up four blizzards. I waited patiently as they had a busy drive thru. When I got my blizzards they looked more like milkshakes and the product was dripping down the sides of the cups.The staff was more concerned about closing the store rather than providing quality service to their customers. The staff didn't provide lids for the blizzards and they ended up spilling all over the car, my smart watch and other items as they were all almost completely melted. By far the worse service I have ever received. I will not be going back to this particular location. If I wanted a milkshake instead of a blizzard I would have...
