Giannilli's II Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Unity Township

This was my families 3rd time there. The first time was on a date. The food was meh. The portion sizes are good for the money you pay for but the food isn't worth it. We both got the spaghetti and we weren't impressed. The second time was with our family. The wait staff seemed inattentive and everything took way too long for the amount of business in the restaurant. I think maybe 4 or 5 other tables were there. The last time was the last straw. Things have been getting worse from visit to visit. When we got there, we weren't greeted by staff. The hostess seemed unbelievablely lost. We had 3 small kids that needed high chairs we waited to see if she was going to get us them, we ended up getting our own while we watched as the hostess bumbled about. It took 30 mins before we had a waiter ask us what we wanted. An 1hr goes by and everyone at our table gets their food. Our family of 4 were completely forgotten about. We got the piss poor excuse of "I just forgot your food, I'll be right back!!" 30 mins later our food finally comes. By this point we're done. My wife didn't get to eat the food we ordered during our 2 hr ordeal. Didn't even try to make up for the fact things were shitty. Just avoid this restaurant at all costs. It not only will cost you money you'll regret spending. You'll also think you have a million more important things to do than watch unorganized employees run around. Worst dining experience I...

I was here today with a party of 25 we had a reservation they knew we were coming and we're still unprepared with just one waitress for us and the dining area, they brought who we think was the hostess to help she was rude and very inattentive, , they also had to add a table as people were coming BC they did not have enough.

It ook almost an hour just to get our order taken we were sitting next to the bar and we were not asked once for refills but had to get up and get our own from the bar, it took almost 45 minutes for soups and salads to come out with at least 3 missing they were gone before we could stop them so we had to track them down to tell them they were missing, then our food came out cold and again 3 or 4 meals were missing and we again had to track down someone to tell them we had missing food which took another 20 minutes for it to come out after everyone else was done, not one person checked on us throughout the entire meal to see if we needed anything or if everything was OK, it was probably the worse experience I have ever had at a restaurant and i would not return there or even recommend any one to go there! I understand big parties r tough I worked in a restaurant but u prepare for then with enough staff on hand (the restaurant I worked in with a party that big we would put 2 waitresses on the table just so they would get the service they deserve and...

Visiting friends over the Halloween weekend, and since we were visiting after all, I got to pick where we'd stop in for a bite to eat. Since I wanted to have some Italian our friends suggested here - what a great choice...

The restaurant that has a very upscale look inside and out, however their menu leans towards being more family oriented, which frankly is perfectly fine by me. They had a special going on this evening of their Italian Sampler - lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi, and ravioli - all slathered in a dark red and delicious marinara sauce. It was so much, I ended up taking half of it home.

I was also pleasantly surprised by their beer selection - not the run-of-the-mill Italian beers but other craft selections, seasonals, and what-not. Service was friendly, efficient, and he was a joy when jawing with us at the table- he did a great job.

The experience would have been a solid 4.5 to 5 stars if it were not for the wait to be seated. At one point I counted 4 waiters/waitresses milling about, and with hostess on the phone, I would have thought (and frankly expected) one of them to step in and help. I normally don't mind the wait, I get it. It can be busy at times right at the entrance, but in this instance it just felt a bit lacking.

Anyway, solid Italian joint, will be glad to drop in next time...
