La Tapatia Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Upland

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is NOT the place. Taste like food from hometown buffet. Food was dry and the seasoning was off . Our disappointment started with the stale chips, salsa was ok. Then we ordered 2 chicken sopes with rice and beans, 1 wet asada burrito, 1 dry asada burrito, 2 chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, 8 tacos with different meats and 4 drinks. The horchata tasted old. The little meat they served was dry. The rice tasted like it was from a bad box of RICE-A-RONI. The beans tasted like the only thing they flavored them with was bacon fat. Service was friendly. Price felt expensive, perhaps it seemed that way since we threw more than half our food away. (We normally take our leftovers but the food was just bad) Restaurant was nice and clean. Hopefully their taste improves, and they start cooking real...

Stopped here for the first time after husband Dr appointment. This restaurant reminds me of Cabo San Lucas. We enjoyed the friendly smiles with a wonderful welcome. The servers were great! They had answers to our questions. Quick service though it was not busy yet. Later after we ate noticed people started coming in. Parking is good, decor was nice with outside seating. Very clean. Self serve beverages area, salsa and beans self serve both area kept clean. Didn't use the restroom though I'm sure it was clean. Lots of seating, tables and seating booths. I would come here next time if we're in the area. The food was excellent which I got the taquito and hubby wet burrito. Delicious! Presentation...

I keep forgetting to take pictures because I'm so hungry. I pray for my food and then dive in! I have to remember to take before pictures and sometimes even during, then maybe even after... The food here was really good, was my 1st time coming here. I had their crunchy chicken tacos with rice and beans... so good...I love crunchy Mexican tacos, it's pretty cool once you walk in you order your food and then you go get your drinks and they bring you your food, the ambience is nice and it's well kept as well...my daughter brought me here... she's been here a couple of times, says she loves it. I definitely will be coming back and we'll take...
