Tuesday 5:00pm early dinner with visiting relatives. Being originally from Philadelphia I know & have eaten excellent Italian food. So, I checked out a ton of restaurants in Lancaster metro and Rosario's is what I came up with! Firstly, plenty of off street parking on Route 23 in Leola, plenty of tables & booths, quick attention by the only waitress. Huge, mostly southern Italian, menu. All your favorites plus some. Pizza, platters, salads, Calzone & Strombolis, sandwiches & appetizers. Starters were the fried calamari, garlic bread & the garlic knots, all served hot with dipping sauces included. Mains were veal francese, linguine Alfredo, large Stromboli & small meat lovers pizza. One of the best veal dishes I've ever had, pasta with spinach added was super, the Stromboli was enormous & the pizza loaded. Needless to say the portion were huge! A few desserts & a coffee. No expresso machine. With tip & tax for 5 adults with 3 doggie bags $143 total! A steal. They also do a big take-out business. No frills, super service, excellent prices & huge portions makes this a go-to place for basic, hearty southern...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! This little Italian spot completely blew me away. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff treat you like family from the second you walk in.
The food is fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The fried calamari was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned (not greasy at all). The shrimp Alfredo was rich and creamy, with tender shrimp and pasta that tasted homemade. The pizza had that perfect crispy crust, and the garlic bread was the best one I have ever tried!
It’s not a huge place, but that’s what makes it so special. You feel like you’ve stumbled into a true neighborhood treasure. If you’re craving authentic Italian comfort food in a relaxed, friendly setting, this is the place. I’ll...
Read moreTo be fair my husband ordered me the wrong thing. I wanted a chef salad. What he brought home was a "Caesar" salad. It was 2 heads of Romaine lettuce, 4 croutons, and a half teaspoon of shredded cheese. It was AWFUL. Zero taste. And instead of them giving him Caesar dressing at least, they gave him this oily stuff in little containers which promptly went in the trash. I believe when I opened up the container I said where's all the meat and cheese?? What is this? I love Rosarios but this was beyond disappointing. No salad you pay 12 or 14 dollars for should be lettuce and not much else. Note to self: write everything down. Don't trust the husband to get the...
