Went to BK on Charlotte tonight and I very rarely deal with rude employees there but the manager tonight was very ignorant. BK did not get my order correct and when I told the young man at the window he said he would get his manager. The manager seemed to be annoyed as soon as he got to the window and when I started to tell him the issue his response tone clearly showed that he didn't want to be bothered. I ordered a specific sandwich which I didn't get, I'll add that when I placed the order the screen didn't show, assuming bc they were very busy. When I stated I had gotten the wrong sandwich he looked at my ticket and with an attitude stated that my ticket didn't specify that sandwich. I said I understood that but I know I had ordered the sandwich and I would give back the wrong item. He said he wouldn't take the item since it's been outside and wouldn't correct the mistake either. Since he had an attitude the entire time I said fine just charge for the correct sandwich so I can go. He then asks why I have an attitude because he's not the one who took my order originally. Although I wouldn't say I even had an attitude, I let him know he had an attitude from the start and I just wanted my situation corrected since it wasn't my mistake either. He then took my card to pay for the sandwhich i originally ordered and proceeded to talk to his Employee and say he's tired of this job becausec of ignorant customers like her. He was extremely rude and not professional at all. I understand you're busy but to speak to someone the way he did was uncalled for. It was one item that was incorrect, it's not like I was trying to get a whole bunch of items for free. The item they gave me was actually similar to what I ordered so I can see how the employee made the mistake but that's not how managers should handle the situation. Read moreI don't normally do a review but yesterday on a whopper Wednesday, it was terrible and unacceptable!!! I was saddened to see the one manager (I think she was the manager) or someone trying her best.The other two girls didn't have a clue what was going on or what to do. (Must be new)I know it can be a lot and even for me that pressure is a lot for 1-4 people during a rush to. Along with an angry mob !!!! The manager and the cook running all over the place trying their best to push out food and to get to every customer. She looked very flustered and defeated. Especially by those'd two racist couple by calling her stupid, out her name and recording the manager, without her consent . Then escalated when the husband began cursing, and refusing to leave the store. After the couple left, I noticed the manager is going towards the back with tears coming down her face. Seconds later, another customer is coming in very aggressive trying to get into the kitchen to yell at her about the long wait .I understand it was a lot of people waiting. I was waiting for 15-20 mins. I worked in fast food and my professional opinion is that you guys need more workers!!! especially on a WEDNESDAY! Cant have only 4 people working .! After at least 10 minutes at the drive through without a peep from the speaker, I said “should I order through the window? Can you guys hear me? Hello?” Eventually someone said “Please wait, there are lots of DoorDash orders.” You could have told me that when I pulled up instead of making me wait. Also judging by the single customer standing in the lobby, they didn’t seem all that busy. I watched multiple cars behind me get out of line and leave.
I was told to pull up to the first window. The first window was obviously closed. I pulled up to the second window and asked if I could use Apple Pay. The woman snickered at me like I was some kind of idiot and said I should have asked before I ordered. Like lady, do you think I don’t have other forms of payment?
Once I received the food, it was fine, but I could have done without the 20 minutes wasted and snark.
If I were the franchisee of this location, I’d be furious. The terrible staff here limit customer throughput (and sales) to a tenth of what they could be. That’s lost profit. And the few people that do manage to get their orders are left with a terrible impression of the location.
Come on people, take pride in your work and get your stuff together.
