On The Rocks Bar — Restaurant in Utah

I had the opportunity to take a night off and socialize with friends at On the Rocks Bar. First, the ambiance is quite nice! A relaxing, great space with both bar seating, a couple of sofas, and a private "bistro" corner (if one prefers a private conversation).

Food-wise, waitress Taryn recommended the string beans - and OMG, she was right about them being the best tasting string beans I've ever had! We also ordered the Mac and Cheese - tasty! Onion rings and Cauliflower bites - HUGE hunks of cauliflower covered in a spicy sauce with a dipping sauce on the. side. We had more than enough food for two, so Taryn boxed and bagged it (today's lunch!)

Manny, the bartender, mixed a mean drink (the only one with rum in it), and that was quite tasty.

At 4 o'clock on a Saturday night in March, I met my five girlfriends for a drink. We've all lived in the area for 30 years. I should've been suspicious when every inexpensive glass of wine was unavailable. I finally said, just bring me a margarita. $14. Which was horrendously salty and strong. Two friends showed up a bit late and quickly ordered a glass of the house wine. When the bill came, the wine that they ordered cost 26 and $33 respectively. House wine means top shelf? There is some kind of a scam going on. A waiter with integrity would say the only wine by the glass we have is the blah blah, and it's $33 a glass. This place is gonna lose a lot of business if they keep this up! Word gets out. These locals who live close by, won't be back.

Ps... the address here says it's Heber City, which is not correct. It's in between Park City and Kamas on Highway 248. Closer...

I visited On The Rocks a few days ago and i was very impressed. the food was so so good, they were playing live music that night which was fun, and the drinks were exceptional. as a bartender i could tell they put real craft into the cocktails and they have a great beer menu. i had the rooster red ale and the hibiscus margarita and both were awesome.
