Broadway 830 — Restaurant in Uvalde

Cute place! The first time I came here the food was great. The second time not so much. 🙁 their menu is very limited and I didn’t not receive a kids menu so I don’t think they have one. Apparently per the waitress the pastas are pre made so you can’t add anything to them, I requested shrimp on my Alfredo pasta and that could not be done lol. My sisters order the cajun pasta and it tasted like burnt dish soap. During our 1 hour wait we only received two pastas and 1/2 of our appetizers. We decided to leave because we were told it would be an additional 30 min wait for their new order. So we left because we had already been there an hour. Mind you hardly anyone was there. The waitress was rude toward the end, it wasn’t her fault but acted like it was and was smirking. In front of us she was on the phone with who I would assume was her boss. She lied to her that we had only waited 30 min for our food it all of the rest of our order had just came out. Won’t be returning sadly. Will add that the waitress was not only rude to us but to another gentleman who questioned the price for his to go order. She was smirking and just handed him the menu. I love to stop by 830 when I am passing through on business, but this time my husband and I decided to make a special trip and dine in. Our waitress Kate was great and very accommodating, but the restaurant was not worried about Covid-19 at all. Tables were occupied right next to each other, the Resturant was full and management was still accommodating large large groups. It was kinda disgusting to know that we are in a pandemic and the restaurant was at its capacity according to the CDC guidelines! At one time a party of 13 came in and 830 sat them right next us 🤢. Yes I know we could have gotten up to leave but we had already traveled 1 1/2 to eat dinner and we had already ordered our food which came out wrong. Customers were walking through the restaurant without masks, breathing talking and sneezing they continued to walk through the restaurant. Management never addressed this or Even cared to pay attention. I know 830 is a popular pizza joint in Uvalde, but by not following the 6ft rule, requiring customers to wear mask at all times unless they are eating is ... ugh🤢. Money isn’t everything 830.
