Stopped through on our way back to San Antonio from the river. We read reviews and thought we’d try this restaurant thinking it would be decent based off of the 4.2 ⭐️ review. The food was not good. The chairs were filthy and had food stuffed in the cracks of them. My friend and I ordered frozen margaritas and the waitress brought them out to us and apologized that their machine wasn’t working properly and our drinks weren’t frozen but just liquid. It was awful and I sent mine back. Our waitress did take that drink off the tab. We should have been informed of this PRIOR to the drinks being made to prevent waste as well as given a different option to order. Our waitress was not attentive to the table. I had to ask another server to get her attention to come to our table. Food was not good. The portions were huge, but the rice was mushy, the beans were flavorless and my kids didn’t care for the enchiladas. I didn’t mind my chicken enchiladas and my son liked his too, which earned the one star. My friend and her daughter didn’t even eat their food. Bathrooms were out of paper towels. The chairs are so heavy you can barely move them. We will not be coming back to the restaurant. We really don’t understand how it can have such great reviews. Unless tonight was a COMPLETELY off night. Limited options to eat in town for restaurants so it may be why it’s received the high reviews. **also, we were charged for the styrofoam cups for my kids, which they could have had regular cups like I had. We were charged a fee for paying with a credit card. And there were $1-$2 uncharged for each enchilada plate. Beware of price gouging.

Lovely restaurant. Warm chips. Salsa was great. Someone mentioned the chips being too greasy. I didn't think so. They were thicker than usual but really delightful. I had the bean and cheese nachos and my guest had the chicken flautas. We were both very happy with our choices. I loved that these thicker chips held their shape and didn't get soggy. All the same the food wasn't over the top with flavor but super satisfying. We were very pleased with the service. They were well attentive and accommodated several needs/wants. You'll be glad you went. On a side note, the do allow service dogs. They initially asked for the papers but accepted my guests dogs service vest as proof enough.

We came in and we’re sat, Waiter who took our order was not listening to anything we were saying, we were not asked what tortillas we wanted, then they were brought out till we were almost done with our food!! When we had first got sat we ordered a to go of 9 bean and cheese to be done asap and figured we’d get it quick if we ordered it first! They were the last thing thing we got!! We had to re order drinks 3 times because every time we ordered one it was out! We asked for condiments and the waiter kept forgetting what we asked!! Everything we told him it was like it’d go in one ear and go out the other! Then one of the plates was brought with paper wrapped in the food! We came from Lytle and Elmendorf, We had spent the day at Chalk Bluff and just wanted to enjoy a nice dinner that sadly didn’t happen!! It was such a disappointment cause the food was delicious but the experience was so horrible we will not come back!! From what we could see this waiter only had us as a table, and the restaurant wasn’t very full!! Also we’re in the middle of eating our foods and get told, You need to hurry up and pay because we want to close our register to pay and we can’t do that unless you pay now, in my culture you rushing me to hurry up so you can leave is you pushing me to hurry up and leave!! Like we are putting this burden on you of needing to hurry and eat even tho your not closed and there plenty of other tables still just getting their food!!!! Also I should note we got there at 9pm and didn’t get our food till 10:30pm!! We would of left but don’t know the area much and this looked like the only place open we could sit and dine in!!! So sad to have had this horrible service being like I stated the food was good and the place is decorated beautifully!!! The service however a -10 !!! WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! I’ll also make sure to let family and friends know to not eat here for their service is ABSOLUTLEY horrible!!! Total spent on our check was $133 that sadly spent with delicious food we couldn’t enjoy because of the service!...

Worst service and food ever! Waited for a long time to be seated. When the young man sat us at the table, the table was dirty. He wiped it down but left the table soaking wet. There was literaly puddles on the table. He flopped the menus on the bench. I knew we should have walked out when they would not seat us in a timely matter. We sat there what felt like forever. We had to go to the register to ask someone to take our order. The young lady was very apologetic when we told her how the young guy acted. The chips were horrid. The food was mediocre. We ordered the green enchiladas, the combination plate and tripas. When they brought the plates they warned us that the plates were hot. The plate was warm and the food cold. The cheese on top was not even melted. The next day my daughter woke up to an upset stomach. Such a beautiful building but horrible service and food... such a shame. If there was a zero, I would have rated them a zero. One star is giving them to...
