My friend and I visited Lunkers Bar for drinks and appetizers after work. We were very pleased with the service and atmosphere. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the wings. We also appreciated the friendly interactions we had with other patrons during our visit." The Subsequent Visit by Friends: Negative Experience "We were later made aware of a subsequent incident involving friends of ours who visited the establishment. They were subjected to disrespectful and inappropriate behavior from other customers (young boys, because real men don’t behave like this ) while attempting to play pool. The situation included aggressive language that was uncalled for. While we recognize this was an issue between patrons and not staff, such behavior is concerning and negatively impacts the overall perception of the establishment."

Slowwwww service. Went there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised that they had a few salads on their menu, we'd been driving cross country for days and needed something other than fast food. My partner ordered the chop salad and I ordered the crispy chicken salad and we got the fried okra appetizer to start. The fried okra appetizer comes in a giant pile of doughy, unseasoned mush. It was easily two appetizers worth of okra, way too much which some might appreciate but with it being so bad we then felt guilty for not eating too much of it. The salads were both terrible - poorly chopped iceberg with cheap cheese and two over-fried chicken strip on top for mine. The chop salad was the same, but instead of a chicken, it had a lump of thinly sliced lunch meats piled high on top. He got a cherry tomato, I did not. Both salads were oddly wet. Not good. The waitress forgot about us once our salad plates hit the table. It was a full 30 minutes before we waved her down for our check - which took another 8 minutes to get. This used to be our go to restaurant in Uvalde, and as most know, there isn’t a huge selection. However, the service was quite disappointing and the food is subpar at best. Our server looked bothered anytime we’d ask for anything. Quite honestly, we wouldn’t have had to ask for anything if the fish came with tarter sauce, the toast came with butter, the “loaded baked potato cake with sour cream, or if there were sugar substitutes available at the table to add to the unsweetened tea. My gosh, I’m surprised i didn’t have to ask for salt and pepper packets. At least there were shakers on the table. It’s obvious this place is poorly managed. I waited at the cash register for quite while every server stood behind the bar chit chatting and laughing. I’m about 99% they saw me standing there, patiently waiting. I finally paid, asked for a to-go tea, and never got it because about 10 minutes later the server comes by and says there’s no tea and they’re having to brew it.
