Here's the reason for the low score: I asked for an extra egg ($1.25) in place of the potato ($2.75) that comes with breakfast. I was told I can't do that for a straight-up trade. The prices listed are from the menu and are from the additional sides pricing. Why would you as a business not allow a move that is financially a better option for you and is what the consumer requested as well? The decision that this couldn't be done was decided by the server and was never asked about by any management. The server never introduced herself but had a ghost tattoo on her right upper arm. Refusing to pay an upcharge, I ordered the dish with the American fries without onions, and the fries still had onions. The steak was ordered medium. It came out well, as seen in the picture. The scrambled eggs were bland with no seasoning at all. They tasted like they were boiled in water. In all fairness, the toast was fine. One more thing, the other person I was eating with received their food and was half finished eating before mine came out. They did remove my dish from the bill after only complaining about the onions, I never even mentioned the overcooked steak. I did tell the server that it was silly that I couldn't substitute those items. This was going to be a one star til the order was discounted, which I didn't ask for, I merely asked her how many more onions I would have received if I ordered it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSlinger is atrocious. Onions cut too large -- I like onion, but don't need a large crunchy chunk with every third bite and none on the other two. Choice of meat overrides the slinger's burger, not adds to, so if you don't specify burger, you don't get a slinger. Hash browns were ok, but not crispy, so no textural add. Chili was flavorless and gloopy.
Not the worst thing I've ever been served, but not good.
Service, for us, was atrocious. We went a good ten minutes at the door for a table after being told "just a moment". Finally, after seeing other customers seat themselves we did as well.
Then we waited another 5-10 minutes for menus. Food was served fairly promptly.
Then we waited another 10 minutes or so to get our check, then another 10 or so before finally flagging down a different server and asked them to run our card. We saw others receive good service, but ours was terrible.
Positives:
Biscuit was good. Sausage seems homemade or not super-mass-produced and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was our second time going. First time we had breakfast, but the atmosphere was crowded and the servers were very "homey" (as in not very professional, but nice) Second time we had dinner and brought our son. Food was delicious both times, but gave us the runs this second time. Servers are nice, but forgetful. They also sit and complain to regulars about more people coming in. (Hence the unprofessional comment) I've been a server in my younger days and I know more people means more money.. but these girls apparently don't care about money. The tables were all dirty upon walking in so we had to wait for the server to clear it. (She took her time and at first we just assumed she was tired bc of a possible rush) but after awhile we realized that they just left them dirty hoping when ppl walked in, they would just leave.. It truly seems to be a clicky place where they only care about their regulars. Man, good customer service is incredibly rare...
