short answer- Hard NO — especially dining in. Customer service is TRASH. A couple workers are fine, but when it’s bad, it’s egregious.
I was genuinely excited when I first found this spot came back 4 times in a week. 1rst visit, ok & I saw daily specials highlighted. 2nd visit ( coincidently Taco Tuesday I was going to dine here regardless) I asked for a ramekin to mix and match hot vs mild salsa and was told no to a empty ramekin or container, because “if we let you do it then everyone will want to.” 3rd pickup order — had to drive in because no one answered the phone, then was charged extra just to swap mild salsa for hot. My parents owned 2 restaurants since I was 16 so i totally understand "off days" and that things happen when you're staffed and can't control EVERYTHING. These things, while I found a little strange weren't immediate deal breakers.
The final straw was bringing my 80-year-old mother for lunch at 4pm. This was my 4th visit in a 10 day period, I had spent a decent amount of money here. We waited more than 25 minutes with no water, no order taken, & watched 3 other tables be seated, & receive food. The only attention we got was a server telling us the tiny paper boat of chips would now be an extra charge. I’d already eaten there multiple times that week with complimentary chips provided while dining in. The way he acted, implied an assumption that we came in just to eat chips for free — even though we were clearly WAITING TO ORDER.
He was unapologetic, offered no solution, and just shrugged when I explained the inconsistency from previous visits that week compared to this visit. At that point, I lost my appetite. It was humiliating to sit there with my elderly mom, after convincing her to get on the freeway and try this place, only to have her treated like some freeloading loser. I paid for my drink, left the chips that seemed to be such an issue, and we walked a few doors down to the Chinese restaurant — which turned out to be a much better experience. Humble & quaint, but the staff was warm and welcoming. If you’re in the area, go there instead OR I'd recomment Mi Jalisco on which also has a taco tuesday, full bar, dine in & FRIENDLY STAFF that DOESN'T TREAT YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL FOR WANTING chips and salsa.
To top it off, I’d already recommended this place to one of my clients from Mexico, and his reaction was immediate disapproval. He said he didn’t like them — now I understand why. I’ll be retracting every referral I made and telling every single one of my clients not to come here.

Read moreI’m so disturbed by my attempt to dine yesterday 7/17/22 at Jalapeños. I’ve eaten here many times in the past and it has always been a very pleasant experience. In fact I’ve invited my church group to join us to dine here a couple of times and referred the restaurant to friends and we all enjoyed the food and service. However, my gf and I went to have lunch after church and it was the most disturbing and disgusting dining experience ever. Let me preface by saying the restaurant was not very busy… We were seated and the young waiter was very slow to come to take our order…more than 10 minutes. We ordered a couple of waters with lemon and the waiter returned with water and limes instead about 10 minutes later. I had to ask for chips and salsa…which took more than 5 minutes to receive. So we’d been at the table over 20 minutes when we finally ordered our food. All good…not a problem. I asked for more chips and salsa and got salsa only about 10 minutes or more later. However when our order had not arrived in over 30 minutes, I asked our waiter what’s going on and he literally disregarded and blew me off. When i waited another 10 minutes with no food I asked the waiter what’s going on here? Finally my food arrived but no silverware or napkins were provided. My gf asked for the ranch dressing she’d ordered. Apparently there was a communication problem and the shrimp salad was taken back and never returned. Meanwhile I waited another 10 minutes for silverware and for my gf’s salad so we could eat together. Finally, hungry and Frustrated by being held hostage for more than an hour and no food and a noticeable practice of avoidance, I’d had enough. I went to speak to the manager and I got pointed to the door. Seriously? I’ve never been disrespected like that before…ever! Never again will I dine at this restaurant. I’m not a racist and I’m disturbed by the fact that i feel like i was treated with prejudice because i am white. I’d advise that if the owner of this restaurant reads these posts, he responds accordingly. Your staff needs an attitude adjustment. No customer should ever be treated with the blatant disrepect we received at your restaurant. Unacceptable! You reap what you sow in this world. Zero stars is appropriate here. I’ll tell my friends at the church and others of this disgusting experience and let them know we do not support this kind...
Read moreThis place is under new ownership, i have been here twice, once with the hubby we had the mariscada , this dish was deliciously made well cooked and still warm when it arrived at our table, its just that it was more like an appetizer plate size and well i was left wanting more so i guess it must be good right so i staved off asking for another plate as they were a bit expensive , worth price though. I came back here a,second time with my father and nephew and my fathers wife ( love her really i do) we had a cheeseburger for my nephew , me and my father had the enchiladas mine were beef his were chicken, and my step mother had the chilaquiles. When the food arrived it looked so appetizing and still warm , really hot the cheeseburger so my nephew had to wait to eat his food for a bit by the time he was able to eat it the burger became a bit soggy, my enchiladas well the sauce didnt taste authentic like how i make them at home , kind of tasted like it was the las palmitas canned enchilada sauce you buy at the store. My father said the same too, my step mothers chilaquiles were bomb though , its just that i had ordered chicken wings to go for my bf and after we paid she forgot to write it down on the check so they were never made booooo but otherwise if it wasn't for this mishap i would have gave this place 5 stars, all in all fast service great food i just dont honestly recommend the enchiladas. Bon...
