Yo Sushi — Restaurant in Vallejo

I enjoy the food here BUT today I witnessed some things that is making me rethink coming back. A young man in a black hat and a black warriors hoody was sent out to wash the windows... It became clear that he had never done this before OR he has but nobody checked his work and advised him how to do the job correctly. Now this can overlooked BUT what can't be is how he dealt with cleaning tables. Here's what happened: while wiping windows he was stopped stepped into a chair then onto the bar table against the window in order to plug in a cord to a ceiling outlet then step down and continued wiping ( very poorly mind you) the windows. Then stopped again went to the back and came back with a cleaner and a white rag. He cleaned the table ( about as well as he did the windows... Poorly... Then used the rag that he cleaned his shoe print up with to wipe down the rest of the bar table...not good Then went back to wiping windows. He then returned to the back and this time returning with only the cleaner and the white cleaning rag and SAT DOWN at a table in order to wipe it down. I assume with the same white rag. I then saw him at the front area handling to go orders... Didn't see him wash his hands or change his gloves( from previous cleaning tasks). I don't know if he was just lazy, uninformed, or what but it didn't make me feel good about how things get cleaned...

(Wow! I guess the owner looked me up cause she called me by name. Been a year since I've been here and they sure got there stuff out back together. Still a little up set paying $45 for hot sashimi. But I'm glad they don't put hot food under the cold food anymore. Keep up the good work. Oh! And I'm guessing the lady that knew my name is the new person in charge. Thank you. From the bottom of my stomach!)

Today's take out was horrible. My guy sat inside and waited for the Togo order which sat there for a good 20mn before i walked up and asked if this was the order. (We had ordered at the counter)By than my cold sashimi was hot with the hot chicken teriyaki heating it up on the bottom of the bag. I had already brought back my smoothies cause they were melted and not blended all the way. 2nd try and there blender must be broken. We get home and my mans tempura style cali roll was a shrimp tempura roll instead. We both wont touch are food. Miso was the only thing correct temp. Im pregnant so i will probably force myself to eat it any way. Im so disappointed. We paid close to$55 for lunch with tip and this whole...

It's my first time coming here, I was drawn by the 800+ reviews. It's only my 3rd year in Vallejo. I used to live in San Francisco and wanted to venture out to some of the restaurants here. I did not realize I have to order at the counter and pick up my order as well while there's 4 people at counter having a blast exchanging stories. I say this because when my first order of pork katsu I got called to pick up my order. But I still have some sushi rolls to come so that meant I had to get up again and pick it up. I'm not even sure why I had to give a 15%tip if I had known the service is non existent. As I sat down, staring at me was their selfserv notification...hahaha. Food was mediocre, the rock roll was sweet but the actual unagi was barely tasted. The rainbow roll and lemon roll was filled with the imitation crab though I'll give them credit the tuna and salmon tasted fresh. The only service I received was when I got the tea and soda we ordered. This experience totally took the excitement of eating here....
