Was super stoked to find fatburger enroute to new york. Unfortunately when I got there they had just closed but I made a mental note to hit them on the way back home. Never had fat burger. Glad to see they are creeping eastwards. Now that I've finally had one. The burger was FANTASTIC. Thick juicy. Flavorful. Loaded with toppings and condiments. I love that there is relish AND pickles. I ordered the double and strained to finish it can't imagine how people handle the triple. They also have wings. Wings are way too expensive everywhere here was no exception. But they were good. Not overcooked. The hot ranch was more hot than ranch but overall no complaints. They have 2 types of fries. Skinny and fat. My fries were not the hottest but they were tolerable. Considering they make it to order..this was likely a timing issue. Dropped the fries to early and they were sitting while waiting for the burger to be finished. Hence the loss of a star. Service was ok. The ice machine was stuck and I couldn't get ice for my drink but that's obviously an outlier. Atmosphere..unfortunately this place is inside a gas station. I would have preferred a stand alone location. I didn't want to eat inside of a gas station. So I ate in my car. Overall I loved fatburger. I wish there were more in my area. I would argue the rapid growth of five guys in this area would not have happened had there been fatburgers here. Fatburger is a thousand times better. And in an era where burgers are between 9 and 15 bucks or more in the fast casual space...you might as well get the best burger in that...
Read moreOrdered 2 onion ring sides to go with my burgers. They were out of onion rings, but decided not to tell me. Instead they replaced them with the last option of their sides I would have wanted. Thank goodness I checked my bag before leaving the parking lot and driving 20 minutes home. I went back in and had to get a full refund to then pay for what was given to me instead. When I pointed it out, I asked the worker why he didn’t tell me so I could just get a refund for the side I didn’t want and was now stuck paying for as I had opened the box. He mumbled an: “Oh, sorry.” It was a $12 difference I was getting back so I would have wanted to know that I was getting shorted $12 worth of product. There was no reason I couldn’t have been given the truth and the option to pick a side I did want, or just get a refund. The burgers were good, but when I got home and tried my milkshakes, one was the wrong flavor. Customer service is lacking at this location and the side of big fries I was given were as bland as you can image with zero seasoning or flavor. Stick with just a burger and/or shake and check your bag to make sure they don’t mess up your order and steal from you by giving you products that cost less than...
Read moreA Fatburger sign in the middle of nowehere, PA - what?! Haven’t seen one of these in years since Jersey! Then first impressions of the place was ohhh…it’s no longer a restaurant and is now one of the weird co-ops with another business in a gas station. Then you rip into the burger to find out it definitely hasn’t changed. Had the XXL Burger with Fat Fries. Pricey, sure but it’s over a pound of real, fresh beef done to perfection with a slew of ingredients if you choose. Flavor is spot-on and if you’re thirsting for burgers, you’ll be more than quenched upon leaving. Side note on the price: that famous burger joint with “Yum” for a slogan charges the same prices for not even half the meat, so $15+ for over a pound of meat is well worth it. If you’re up to it, get the XXXL that’s 1.5 pounds of 3...
