This is simply a customer service fail.
Ordered pizza. Followed it online, (nice app!). When the app showed it was finished, stopped in for pickup. No pizza. Fine. Assumed it needed a cut etc. Paid the money and took a seat. And then waited 15 minutes+, numerous customers come and go. Who knows how long I would have sat there facing the kitchen watching them make pizzas. No one said a word to me after they took the money. I finally had enough.
So, I got the attention of the floor manager. He is annoyed. He cannot find a pizza under my name. He presumes I placed the order at a different store; even though they already took money for my order placed in their store, but still, "my mistake". He made me dig in to the app and prove who I was, and that I had placed a pizza order at his store. That in itself is not that big a deal. It was more the attitude. "Your mistake; no refunds; no name; figure it out and I'll be back."
So he left me standing there while I did the work. Found the details for him by digging through the app order. He then, somehow, located the pizza, gave it to me, walked away.
No apology. No explanation. No consideration. "Hereās your box. Bye". It was all kind of sordid. Customer service is a big deal to me. I donāt ask for much in a place like this, except for common courtesy. Empathy. Something. Here, nothing.

This mistake is completely understandable, but what made it way way worse was that I called to see if they could make my correct pizza and proceeded to sit on hold for an hour between three calls with no one answering. I called corporate and they received the same lack of response. Without any way for them to fix the mistake, I drove the 10 minutes there AGAIN (at this point a total of 40 minutes between two round trips). When I walked in I hollered over to them and asked why they weren't answering their phone (I admit I was grouchy at this point). The person in charge proceeded to take the wrong pizza I brought back to show them and just threw it in the trash and offered to refund my money, but never offered to give me my correct pizza which is why I had drove all the way back there. Not wanting to be left with nothing for all my 1-1/2 hours of travel, waiting and of gas spent, I asked her to pull the pizza out of the trash so I could at least have a cold pizza that wasn't what I wanted for dinner. I am a frequent, loyal customer of this business, but this experience has made me think it's time to switch back to driving further to Pizza Hut. Terrible customer service and all around...

A couple of months back, I ordered for delivery via the phone, and after an hour passed, I called to ask where the pizza was. The 'manager' said it would be leaving soon. Another hour passed, and so I called back, and apparently the ordered had never been placed. They did nothing to make this right.
This second time, I called in for a carry out order. I went in when it was supposed to be ready, but ended up waiting an extra 45 minutes for one pizza and a side. My situation wasn't even the worse that night, as another man had been waiting over an hour for his two pizza, and one person had called in an order, been told a time to pick it up, and when he arrived, his order had not even been entered into the system.
