China King — Restaurant in Vandalia

This place is exceptional! I'm a truck driver and called in my order as I was leaving St. Louis. It was going to be down to the wire for closing time and they said I had to be there by 9. I assured them I would be, however, I wound up pulling into the parking lot at 1 minute after 9. I had called again to explain I may be a minute or two late. They waited for me!! ❤️ As I pulled up I saw one of the girls watching for me and I ran my fat butt across the parking lot. I went in and paid for my food and left a very generous tip. Everybody was very friendly. Now, as I sit in my truck, enjoying my meal it occurs to me that this place is off the charts. It's difficult to get my General Tso's chicken spicy enough for my liking, but China King delivered. The Crab Rangoon are huge and stuffed to capacity... again, China King delivered. And finally, the egg rolls are flavorful, sizable and cooked just right. 5 stars doesn't even begin to express my appreciation for this establishment. Definitely fat boy approved and you have a customer for life!! Bravo China King!! 10 out of...

I will never come here again. I ordered food for my aunt and myself. I had just sustained a pretty nasty head injury a week ago. I accidentally ordered sweet and sour chicken and my aunt wanted general tsos chicken. The cashier was very rude. I apologized for getting the order wrong and she refused to make it right until tensions got high. She also did not put very much beef in my beef and broccoli dish.The broccoli was not cut up and was not cooked all the way. The rice wasn't made right either. The crabrangoons were noticbly much more tiny compared to normal sized crabrangoons. This use to be a good place five years ago. I don't know what happened. I just know I will never come to a china king again. It doesn't even matter if it's located out state. Customers should not be treated badly for having disabilities and hardships. I tried to be very polite and explain to her that she was not providing good customer service and she flew...

My dad and I are farmers. We have to go to Van. A lot to get tractor parts at Solan Equipment... We decided to eat here one day and OH MY GOSH! This place is really my dream restaurant. The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh. My dad and I ate there 3 times in one week when we first discovered it. China King also has a great simply website that you can order take out (or dine in) online!! I love the crab rogoons (probably didn't spell that right), but everything I've had so far has been amazing... Great prices too. My dad and I can eat a nice big meal with two sodas for around $11. This restaurant has really (IMO) made Van. A better town... Sorry for any wrong spelling or grammar.
