Blvck Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Vega Baja

Our overall experience was a little bit disappointing. I am not one to write bad reviews but I felt I needed to share my experience. Let’s start with the drinks. I got the coconut caramel latte and it just tasted like a regular latte. My husband got the spicy ginger lemonade and it was really good and refreshing. Then we proceeded to order and waited for our food 30mn (it was just us an another group sitting there). When we finally got out food, my husband’s order was missing so he had to wait an extra 10mn to get his food. I got the coconut waffles + scrambled eggs; waffles were really good but came out cold, scrambled eggs were not seasoned at all. My husband got a sandwich and the bread was really soggy, but outside of that pretty savoury. The food was not bad but we were expecting more for the price we paid. Blvck Coffee Bar is conveniently situated on the marginal street of PR #2. The barista was friendly and offered good service. The place's atmosphere is nice too. I really wanted to like this place because it was highly recommended, unfortunately the most important item for a coffee shop was missing: good coffee. I had a triple shot 12 Oz latte, and the taste was very bitter, likely because the coffee beans were old. My wife had the same experience with her cappuccino (with oat milk), which precludes that the problem was with the milk . I could only drink a third of it and threw the rest away. Maybe this was a bad batch of coffee, or they had an old bag they found in their inventory and made the unfortunate decision of using it instead of throwing it away. Anyway, I doubt...

Edit: It's been 3 months since I've had the food or coffee from here. I dream about it sometimes... the coffee back home is disgusting. We miss this place so much!!

This place serves the best coffee I've ever had. I travel often and have tried coffee from many parts of the world but this coffee exceeds the quality and flavor of every coffee I've ever had. The food was absolutely fantastic and filling. Service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. 10/10, will come back to this area for the coffee!!
