My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mi Viejo Café Bar & Grill, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a great experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and comfortable, with a laid-back yet lively vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. The staff greeted us warmly at the door and quickly seated us, setting the tone for what would be a memorable meal.
For my meal, I ordered the wings, beef chops, rice, and beans. Every bite was packed with flavor. The wings were cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning to make them stand out. The beef chops were tender, full of flavor, and grilled to perfection, showing off the kitchen’s attention to detail and quality. The rice and beans were the perfect complement, seasoned just right and tasting homemade, like something out of a family kitchen. It felt like every part of the plate had been prepared with care.
My wife chose a dish that included rice, pears, and potatoes. It might sound simple, but the flavors were anything but. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, the pears added a light, sweet contrast that balanced the meal beautifully, and the potatoes were hearty and satisfying — soft inside with a slight crisp on the outside. It was a unique combination that worked surprisingly well and left her very happy with her choice.
Beyond the incredible food, the service at Mi Viejo Café Bar & Grill was outstanding. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, checking on us at the right times and making sure our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.
The entire experience, from the welcoming environment to the delicious food and attentive service, made this one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Mi Viejo Café Bar & Grill truly delivered on all fronts, and we left feeling full, happy, and eager to return. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the area, this is definitely a spot you’ll want to add to your list....

Read moreOk so this is a mixed review. Our waitress was good, not great, but decent.
We walked in that restaurant, around 5pm. Order was in by 5:15. First plate of food didn’t arrive until 6:30!
My 1 year old son was good for the first hour+ but started getting crabby because he was hungry and tired. Long story short he wasn’t going to last much longer so we packed up to leave at 6:25. We left before our means ever made it to the table but our family stayed.
Then my family ended up speaking to the manager who told them “we are sorry, we had a bunch of small tables come in after you, which is why we took longer”. Then when we complained about the extensive wait and she said we had gotten our food a while ago and that we were lying about how long it took which is absolutely ridiculous.
For her to apologize for prioritizing the smaller tables before ours, even though they came in after us.. to then tell us we were lying about the time frame in which we received our food.. is the reason I am adamant about writing this review.
The waitress was decent. The place was clean and the atmosphere was good. The food itself was pretty good (family brought home our food) The wait time for food and the manager were HORRIBLE. Being told you’re lying about your wait time and that “we had the food” is crazy. She basically tried to gaslight us. WILL...
