Provenza Restaurant Event Center — Restaurant in Ventnor City

Had lunch with my husband the other day here for the 1st time and was shocked that at 3pm they were completely empty. Restaurant itself is beautiful and the menu has some really great options. The reason why I’m only giving 3 stars is because the service. Looks like they maybe had 1 server working tables and the counter. We were the only people in there the entire time so it was extremely shocking that it took 10+ minutes for 4 drinks and ended up only getting 2. The lemonades we got were so tasty, so I can definitely recommend them, but $9 is steep.

It took a while for food to come out and then it was so incredibly hot that I couldn’t eat it for at least 10 minutes, however when I was able to it was delicious but it was so hot I couldn’t finish. The waitress never came back after we got our food, we sat and sat and sat waiting for her to come back to clear the table and bring the check for what felt like 40 minutes or more. We ended up walking up to the front to see her sitting chatting on her phone in one of the event rooms and then we had to wait for her to get off the phone. It’s almost as if she forgot we were there, and again we were the only people the entire time other than some family that was helping out eating in the front.

What a shame since the reviews are so good. But if I have to go and get my own check during lunch when no one else was there then I can imagine the wait times during dinner, so unfortunately we...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Provenza in Ventnor, NJ, and it was an absolutely stellar experience from start to finish. The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by an incredible atmosphere that exuded elegance and charm.

My taste buds were treated to a culinary delight when I indulged in their mouthwatering medium-rare picanha steak. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms, each bite was a delightful symphony of textures and tastes.

Like woah! Been meaning to try this place for a while and today was the day! I am so glad we came. Our server was spectacular. Her description chicharron ceviche was so good we has to get it lol. The texture of the chicharron was spot on!! And probably some of the best tasting Guacamole I've ever had!

I tried the squash soup and it was delectable. Smooth texture so the bacon crumbles were a nice contrast. It is served with a surprising little squirt of whipped cream or something that upped the sweetness factor. So good!

The burrito bowl lacked depth of flavor for me but it was still good. I added a squirt of lime & some hot sauce to kick it up a notch. Overall a very pleasurable experience and we absolutely will be back!

Update: We came back!! This time for date night. My goodness everything was fantastic! After chatting with our server/the owner my husband had their bandeja paisa... not on the menu but it absolutely should be. I had the beef short ribs. So good! To start we has bang bang shrimp & shared a cobb salad. And we finished with arguably the BEST flan I've ever had and a delicious classic cappuccino.
