We tried the new Corrales on Main St and were hopeful for a new casual Mexican place to walk to in the neighborhood. We used the ordering kiosk for a take-out order. We couldn’t see into the food prep area as they have it blocked off so we don’t know how many people were working back there. The person bringing food out seemed rushed (a large group had come in) and she checked in with a friend sitting inside a couple of times. Eventually that friend got up and left.
We got our order, checked the bag, and walked home, only then to see that they hadn’t given us exactly what we’d ordered. We asked for chicken verde to be added to a quesadilla for an extra $3 but just got a plain cheese quesadilla. The cheese wasn’t fully melted through. The burrito we ordered had chicken but it didn’t seem to be cooked well.
All in all it was just a disappointing experience. If we’d been dining there we could have rectified it on the spot. But we got it to go and really didn’t want to go back out.
I looked on the website to see if we could send feedback directly to someone but there’s no contact page or email listed, so we’ll share some feedback here and hope someone...
Read moreJust stopped by on the tail end of a roadtrip and so glad that we did! Craving Mexican food and a lot of restaurants were closed in the area but we finally found Tacos Jalisco. The place was empty and I was skeptical about there huge menu. My boyfriend ordered the enchilada plate and I ordered the tacos. We were greeted with warm chips while we waited and their salsa was fresh and tasty. The owner came out with our food which looked undeniably delicious and began to talk with us. Apparently he and his wive have owed the place for over 15 yrs and do everything themselves. Needless to say the food hit the spot. The portions were sizable for the price and everything was fresh and flavorful. I'm only sad that we do not live in the area or we would be back...
Read moreThis place used to be great--I would rather have come here than other places. The flavor and size is absolutely delicious! However, they haven't had lengua for a couple months now because they say it's too expensive. Ok, then take it off the menu. Now, the past couple times I've gone, they don't have cabeza. And when I went last night, they didn't even have avocado. So, they didn't have ANYTHING every other Mexican food restaurant has, nor did they have ANYTHING I asked for that's on their menu. It's bad business to run out of and not keep stocked stuff like that. Whoever owns the place needs to get their act together. Do that, and I'll start coming back. But for now, they aren't...
